Frank La Rocca
A composer of contemporary art music, especially sacred choral music, Frank La Rocca earned degrees in music from Yale and the University of California at Berkeley. His teachers included Edwin Dugger, Andrew Imbrie, Olly Wilson, Jonathan Kramer, Frank Lewin, and John Mauceri. Recipient of an NEA Composer Fellowship, a California State Artist Fellowship, and an ASCAP Young Composer's Award, his music has been performed by leading soloists and ensembles in the U.S., Europe and Asia, including the Alexander String Quartet, San Francisco Girls Chorus and soprano Christine Brandes. He is published by Boosey and Hawkes, Walton, and Santa Barbara Music Publishers.
