NRA National Junior Pistol Camp July 12 - 16, 2011

Beginning in 2005, the NRA renewed the annual NRA National Junior Pistol Camp program after a 10-year hiatus. The camp lasts for five days and offers an excellent opportunity for young shooters to increase their skill level from the beginner or intermediate level to more advanced levels, while developing their competitive shooting skills. At the NRA National Junior Pistol Camp, shooters learn the history of marksmanship, the development of the sport, use of rulebook, equipment selection, fundamentals of pistol shooting, position development, mental training, and tournament operations. The program culminates with camp participants taking part in an NRA-sanctioned tournament where they can demonstrate their new skills. They have an opportunity to train with some of the finest pistol coaches in the nation. While focusing on NRA Conventional Bullseye Competition, campers will also learn about International Pistol and Action Pistol Programs.
