WELCOME LETTERS

Advancing Transportation Beyond Disruption

welcome It is with great joy that we welcome you to the 51st National Meeting & Training Conference of the Conference of Minority Transportation Officials (COMTO). We are very excited to have the COMTO Fort Lauderdale chapter as host, and the opportunity to connect, in-person with multimodal transportation agencies, organizations and individual professionals who all share a commitment to the COMTO mission.

Our theme is Navigating the Future—Advancing Transportation Beyond Disruption. After more than two years navigating a global pandemic, we have seen firsthand the tremendous impact on our workforce, a renewed focus on equity, reimagining of service delivery, and resource allocation. Over a condensed and robust three -day schedule, we will explore how transportation agencies and organizations have embraced the change and moved beyond the disruption to advance transportation in a hybrid world in three main areas:

Leadership & Workforce: Meeting & Reflecting Industry Needs Equity & Mobility: Ensuring Full Access Transportation Innovation: Future Mobility It is a privilege to bring the COMTO Family back together for world class networking, training and advocacy in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. We look forward to connecting with all of you in the next few days, being inspired by our Keynote speaker, April Ryan, exploring the regulatory landscape during our Legislative Plenary Luncheon, hearing from US Department of Transportation Leadership and celebrating students pursuing careers in transportation as well as industry leaders who embody the COMTO mission during our Scholarship Awards Gala and Industry Awards Gala. Please accept our heartfelt appreciation for your attendance and support of COMTO. WELCOME to Fort Lauderdale!

Sincerely,

Tanya Adams
