Dear friends: We have completed the second quarter of the year with important milestones within the company, such as obtaining, for the first time, the Socially Responsible Company Badge ("Distintivo ESR"), and the launch of our cargo service operations in the city of Jaen. We are also very proud of the incorporation of new clients such as British Airways, among others, into Talma's portfolio. In addition, in this 10th edition we want to share some new developments in our company: we held a workshop called "Update and new trends in the Airport Industry", and our Quito and Guayaquil stations are now ISAGO certified. Finally, as usual, you will get updated statistical data on the sector, the evolution of foreign trade, and information on air imports and exports for the January - June 2019 period. Best regards, Arturo Cassinelli Sanchez CEO

Peru 2021 presented the award in its eighth Peru edition

Talma obtains Socially Responsible Company Badge for the first time

Talma collaborators in the DESR presentation ceremony

Last year, Talma accepted the challenge of participating in the 8th edition of the Socially Responsible Company Badge (Distintivo ESR) organized by Peru 2021, where they evaluated 104 indicators, divided into four pillars: organizational strategy, organizational culture and values, environment development, and risk and impact management. After more than six months of hard work and joint effort of the different areas of the company, Talma was able to obtain, for the first time, the Socially Responsible Company Badge.

Between the years 2011 and 2018, 227 companies have been recognized in the first eight editions of the Distintivo ESR in Peru. In 2018, Talma became one of them. We see this as yet another step in the right direction, as we continue working and strengthening our commitment to society, the environment and culture for the benefit of our community.

This award comes to join several other recognitions and certifications that the company has obtained over the years. It is a management tool to assess, by means of the indicators proposed, our operations and their impacts on social, economic and environmental matters. Since 2010, the Civil Nonprofit Association, Peru 2021, maintains an alliance with the Mexican Center for Philanthropy (CEMEFI), to award the Distintivo ERS to those companies that obtain an exceptional score, acknowledging their effort and commitment. flow, indicators and the quality of services. Finally, he explained that building an airport with impeccable infrastructure needs to come hand in hand with upgrading the road system to improve vehicle access into the airport. In his opinion, the construction of the second runway and the design for the new International Airport remain as pending tasks that need to include the concession contract scheme, land transfer and the design and model of the new airport and its access roads.

Julian Alberto, our Corporate Affairs Manager, was part of the panel of speakers with the topic Infrastructure for Airport Services in Peru. He discussed issues such as the Development and Evolution of Airport Service Infrastructure, emphasizing on the key components needed to provide aircraft services-- both on the air side and on the land side--- and the economic efficiency that nowadays characterizes free market models. Celebrations at the company's offices and facilities

World Environment Day

In Peru, a person uses an average of 30 kg of plastic per year. Plastic waste is the material most commonly found in sea trenches. Plastic takes between 200 and 1,000 years to fully degrade and is causing the death of thousands of ocean species. Several years ago, plastic was seen as a versatile and economical alternative material. However, today it is estimated that about 9 million tons of plastic waste end up in the ocean every year, and they may remain there for up to 450 years. National Geographic's Planet or Plastic? project opened an exhibit in Peru, seeking to bring about changes and to take a pledge for the planet. The exhibition featured sculptures showing who are the true predators of the sea, and also provided striking factual data on the use of plastic in Peru and how it affects thousands of animals in the ocean. In spite of all the damage they cause, about 5 trillion plastic bags are produced per year in the world, and 1 million are thrown away every single minute. Only 1% of plastic bags get recycled and the rest gets mixed into the natural environment. Talma recognizes the global crisis affecting the marine ecosystem. Consequently, on June 5, the Integrated Management System gave Talma's employees over 1,000 ecological bags as part of an internal environmental awareness campaign, in order to contribute to a better future for the world.
