Talma obtains Carbon Footprint Certification
Talma obtained carbon footprint certificate in December 2018
As part of its corporate sustainability strategy and obeying the commitments of its IMS & SMS Policy, Talma sought to measure its impact and contribution to climate change for the year 2017 through the Corporate Carbon Footprint, both in its operational and administrative offices located in 20 cities of Peru.
Thanks to this diagnosis, we are confident that we will continue looking for new projects to reduce our environmental impact and to be sustainable over time.
The company sought to determine which activities were generating the most greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, to implement strategies and actions to mitigate and adapt to climate change. The total GHG emissions generated by Talma's activities in Lima and nation-wide offices in Peru was 17,605 tons of CO2e, related to its consumption of fuel, gas, paper, water, generation of solid waste, etc. Talma's Corporate Carbon Footprint has been calculated in compliance with the principles of ISO 14064, as well as the guidelines and principles of the GHG Protocol, recognized as the most widely used international accounting tool for government and business leaders to understand, quantify, and manage greenhouse gas emissions.

Visit by Universidad Continental
We received the visit of a group of officials of LATAM Airlines Peru, who spoke with our Business Managers about the improvement of our processes and the evolution of the company over the last few years.
A delegation of 15 students from the International Business School of the Universidad Continental Huancayo campus, visited our warehouses in Lima Cargo City to learn about the processes and services offered by Talma.
The tour of the facilities of Lima Cargo City afforded us the opportunity to showcase our systems and our cargo-handling procedures, which enable our cargo-tracking capabilities, process optimization and real-time queries.
The visit helped to complement and strengthen the theoretical knowledge of the students who, with great enthusiasm, participated actively during the tour of our facilities in Callao.
