This project is a statement in favour of welcoming refugees in the big cities of UE as Madrid.Located in one of the most controversial neighbourhoods of the city, Lavapiés, it proposes a strategy of diversification of cultures and opening of the society to make space for those who need a place to be.
The project reflects the journey of a refugee since leaving the origin country and propose a strategy of using the inner spaces in the traditional “Corralas” in Madrid to allocate the new inhabitants of the city. Therefore, it creates a second route in the neighbourhood in parallel of the infrastructures by connecting the courtyards.
