Villa at DAMAC Hills Once a sleepy stretch of desert, Dubailand has transformed into a highly sought-after neighbourhood, thanks to the sprawling DAMAC Hills development, which began welcoming residents almost five years ago. “We are witnessing a lot of people moving into the community and they come seeking outdoor spaces and leisure amenities at their doorstep. As a self-contained development, DAMAC Hills offers plenty to residents without them having to leave the neighbourhood and this has proved especially beneficial at a time when social distancing and staying at home has become the norm.”

The property developer is, therefore, focusing on launching more family homes to cater to this growing trend. And with the demand for more luxury accommodation taken care of, DAMAC also constantly strives to enhance its amenities for residents.

“Most of the clusters within DAMAC Hills have their own swimming pool but the one element we thought the community was missing was a pool with beach vibes. It wasn’t explored anywhere else in the UAE, so we set out to create something different, unique and specific to the DAMAC brand. And that was the inspiration behind Malibu Bay,” said Kharbush.

The attraction was designed to instantly transport residents to the Californian coast, with everything from the signages to the quality of the sand perfectly curated for residents to feel like they are actually at the beach.

“With Malibu Bay, we wanted to bring the beach to the people at DAMAC Hills. And now, they can just walk to the beach within the community instead of driving down to the Dubai coast.”
