Miss Starlet Angola Priscila Manuela da Costa Grilo by Saif Rahman Sozib I am 20 years old, and I am a third-year student in the Economics course. I was born in Angola properly in the province of Malanje, the land of the giant sable. I fell in love with fashion at the age of fourteen, mostly due to my mother's influence. I participated in my first beauty contest, where I won the first classification as Miss Inter-school 2014 and Miss Photogenic. After that, I decided to bet on something different. It was then when I started doing jobs as a master of ceremonies as I was always very uninhibited, so I had no difficulties in dealing with the public. Last year I had the opportunity to participate in an international contest where I was elected Miss Cuanza Norte 2019, and I was able to participate in the Miss Angola contest. Since then, I have been working as a model, and I consider myself a simple person and passionate about life and its charms.

In 2019, Marylyn joined Teen Ambassadors of the Earth and received the title

Ms. Teen Earth Crystal Angel. To represent The Philippines in the international beauty pageant in Yangon, Myanmar.

"It's never too late for young people to reach their dreams. Have firm faith in God and work harder, and you will realize that your dreams are already coming true." -Marylyn

Olya Popova Businesses in the Time of Crisis

by Saif Rahman Sozib

Beauty Queen, lifestyle and travel influencer and blogger Olya Popova is talking about continuing her work during the COVID-19 pandemic and global lockdown. Last year she won titles of Miss Diva Glamour and Miss Polo Ukraine, took her influencer career to a new level, and started a travel blog. She is based in Dubai, where authorities are fighting a global pandemic by implementing strict lockdown measures. For someone who’s career depends on international

events, collaborations, and travel, this may be an extremely tough time. Still, Olya has always been the type of person who’s looking for opportunities rather than concentrating on obstacles. What is the situation now in Dubai?

There are not as many cases as in many other countries, but the government implements pretty strict measures to cope with COVID19. We have a 24hour lockdown and are allowed to leave the house only for essentials or emergencies.

Everyone, except those employed in vital sectors, is expected to stay in and work from home. Did it influence or change your plans in any way?

It did big time! I was supposed to go on a big bloggers trip to celebrate my best friend’s birthday in Bali, which had to be postponed. There were several international festivals and events that I was supposed to be part of, and overall making concrete plans for the future became almost impossible.

Has the lockdown affected z you more because of the nature of what you do for work?

Yes, since my job depends a lot on travel and big events that are out of the question now. However, many others are in no better situation the global pandemic didn’t leave anyone unaffected. As cliché as it sounds we are all in it together. How is your daily life now, and how is it different from usual?

It’s obviously very different from what I consider normal! I really miss outdoor activities like running as I enjoy it a lot, just a few months ago I ran the Dubai marathon and was hoping to continue training for more

competitions. But I still consider myself lucky as to my current situation. I’m staying with my best friend, Lenka Josefiova, who is the best possible partner in influencer business and creating content! We’re also extremely happy with our apartment - we live in Signature Hotel Apartments and Spa in Dubai Marina. Our big terrace with amazing Marina view is a perfect spot for breakfasts, sunbathing, and now also doing photoshoots! Do you still continue your work as an influencer and promoting brands?

Yes, I do! The thing is all businesses face precisely the same circumstances and need to adapt to new conditions.

Sooner or later, we will be back to our normal lives, and brands do understand that they still want to promote their name so people remember it and will come back. We can create great content from home, and that’s what we’re doing. It also had a positive impact on my photography and editing skills since there’s no professional photographer to help now! What are your plans for the future?

Although some say that it is impossible to plan anything now since we don’t know what will happen in the next months, I believe this is precisely the time to make plans and prepare the strategy for the future! Just maybe leave the exact dates blank.

z What are your plans for the future?

Although some say that it is impossible to plan anything now since we don’t know what will happen in the next months, I believe this is precisely the time to make plans and prepare the strategy for the future! Just maybe leave the exact dates blank.

As for me, I want to work on my blog and make it encompass more than just places to visit and travel tips. I have always enjoyed photography, photo and video editing and I want to become even better at it. Of course, I am planning to travel and compete in more pageants once that becomes possible. My other big passion is protecting

the environment and sustainable living. I feel I can do more in this field and dedicate more time to it. I have been vegan for more than a year now. I try to limit my negative impact on the planet as much as I can. Being the face of my family fashion brands Interstyle Fashion & Seashells Design, I plan to make them even more ecological in the future while still maintaining quality and style. What other positive things you came across recently, and what recommendations do you have for others?

For me, it is a time to slow down, reconsider my priorities, collect thoughts, and set new goals. I become more and more evident as to

what and who is really important in my life. Also, this is a perfect opportunity to finally start doing things that were always postponed due to the busy schedule. Whether it is writing a new blog post, a book, or taking an online course that you always wanted now is the time to do it! However, the important thing is to be realistic and not to set too high expectations where you want to do absolutely everything you had no time for in the last few years - this is a direct road to frustration. Just take it day by day, make a plan, do things you like, communicate with those who are important to you, stay home, and stay safe!

Miss Planet Supreme & Best Model 2019 Katrin Synenka by Saif Rahman Sozib

Katrin Synenka became a model six years ago after graduating Chameleon Models School with Angela Andreyevska. Five years ago, she began teaching other models to posse and catwalk. Three years ago, Katrin visited her first beauty contest in Albania Miss Summer World 2017, where her debut was appreciated, and she was crowned as First Runner-up. After, there were a host of international modelling and beauty pageants where Katrin was a contestant and producer of other representers from National Director Angela Andreyevska team. So, together, Angela and Katrin knew a lot of inside information on how to become a Miss. That is why in February they started international intensive 11CROWNS. During the same time, while our planet is fighting with COVID-19, the creators of 11 CROWNS founded their online course to teach potential future stars in spite of distance or nationality. Miss Power Woman 2019 Alice Veglio by Saif Rahman Sozib

1. If you could change one thing in the world, what would it be?

It would be the access to education. With education, there would be less poverty, less manipulation, and more people that work together, achieving excellent results. 2. What is your idea of happiness and success?

Happiness, for me, is the primary cause and source of every individual success. Happiness means accepting and living following one's talents and ambitions. Success is nothing less than the consequence of a happy mind capable of always pursuing her dreams. 2. How do you plan to contribute to society after the win of Miss Power Woman 2019?

I will contribute by

pursuing my greatest passion: sharing in every form possible (primarily through social networks and my fitness program) the infinite potential of every woman. Being Miss Power woman for me is being an example, a point of reference for many women who want to make their dreams come true and are afraid of not making it. Being a miss power woman means demonstrating in concrete that nothing can stand between a motivated woman and her deserved success. 3. What have you learned from this competition?

From this wonderful competition that I will never forget, I learned that a woman's greatest power is not in the strength of her legs or arms but the strength of her mind. I experienced the huge potential of a motivated mind

combined with leadership and courage to overcome every limit. 4. Who is the most inspiring person in your life, and how?

My mom: an example of determination, strength, and positivity that I try to apply in everyday life. 5. What is the role of the Internet or social networking sites on the youth?

Social media is an essential means of communication and inspiration. I attribute great importance to methods of communication that I use on my social networks as they are potential elements of the influence of the younger classes.

Photo: Personal Archives

6. What is the biggest mistake you have ever made in your life? What have you done to overcome it?

I don't see any mistake in my life as every single action (right or wrong) taught me something. I don't live with regrets but with teachings and eyes towards the future and new challenges and opportunities to grow as an individual.

I would say to them about my adventure in this revolutionary contest that concretely stands for the emancipation of women. Competitions are evolving a lot, scaling down on the right parameters to judge a woman: intelligence, character, mindset, and not only‌. 9. Are you involved in any Charity work or organization? If yes, then how it contributes to social & economical changes?

7. How can you differentiate Italian fashion compare to the rest of the other world?

Italian fashion is emblematic all over the world as it is synonymous with taste and great cultural background. 8. There is a group of people who do not support the concept of beauty contests. What will you tell them?

I would tell them that not all contests are the same;

Since the age of 12, I have been part of an international charity group that acts concretely in all over the world by building schools, promoting access to education and health. Since I was a child through the Leo Club International, I have had the opportunity to understand the importance of the accessibility to primary rights and the enrichment deriving from fighting to help others.

So I built houses, lived with poor people in Africa (2013), and fought alongside the neediest with small significant actions that aim to make a difference every day. Miss Power Woman information at a glance The 1st Miss Power Woman was 2016, this July 1-8, 2020 we will go into its 5th edition. Stanisław Kowalski O n Tu r n i n g 1 1 0 Ye a r s O l d ! ! ! by Saif Rahman Sozib Hu ge Con g ra t u la t ion s Fr om A ll Wor ld w id e Frie n d s!

Today, April 14., Stanislav Kowalski is celebrating 110 years of birthday! This is the earliest born representative, probably the oldest athlete in the world, which shows that it is never too late for sport! Stanisław Kowalski was born on April 14, 1910 in the Konskie Poviat and living in Swidnica in Poland. He worked professionally as a railway man and founder. He started his athletics competition for the first time at the age of 104! He had never practiced athletics or any other sport before, and for years his only constant physical activity was commuting to work by bike. He did not abandon the two-wheeler in retirement. Being already after his 90th birthday, he still traveled a dozen kilometers every day, going to the cemetery to his deceased wife.

S t a n i s ł a w K o w a l s k i is the oldest competitor in the world who took part in official athletics competitions in the 60-meter race, 100-meter race, Discus Throw and Shot Put. Here is a list of his most significant achievements and current World and European records: Indoor European Masters (category M100) in 60 meters, Shot Put, and Discus Throw (Toruń 2015). World and European record holder (cat. M105 +) in the 100 meters (34.50s), Toruń, 26/06/2015).

World and European record holder (cat. M105 +) in Discus Throw (7.50m, Toruń, 26.06.2015). European record holder (cat. M100) on the 100 meters (32.79s), Wrocław, 10.05.2014). His achievements and starts in our group through the media were heard not only in Poland but virtually all continents. The profile of Mr. Stanisław Kowalski was more widely shown in the film reportage entitled "Golden Age," which was broadcasted on several TV channels, including on TVP Sport and TVP Info. Stanisław Kowalski was registered to start in our last the 8th World Masters Championships Indoor 2019. Unfortunately, a minor infection eliminated him from the start of WMACI 2019. Although he no longer competes, he still has a lot of positive energy and a sense of humor. There are no major health problems. He always tries to be physically active, doing some activities in the fresh air.

The biggest obstacle to this at the moment, is the ongoing COVID19 pandemic. What is also undoubtedly worth emphasizing: Stanisław Kowalski is also currently the OLDEST MAN LIVING IN POLAND and the oldest resident of the Lower Silesian Voivodship. Mr. Stanisław, happy birthday! We wish you to stay healthy and many more happy years. Photo provider: Ana-Zens

D e m a n d f o r M e n ' s Je we l r y On the Rise Concept idea: Saif Rahman Sozib Jewelry collection & explanation: Mona Shroff

Men's Jewelry becomes an expression of confidence and becoming cool again. The trend, which began several years ago, along with the birth of men's wear fashion weeks, has firmly taken hold around the globe. Men's accessories are a staple in every man's wardrobe, and particularly in the urban realm. Whether it is a men's bracelet, ring, watch, or necklace, men are sporting accessories more than ever, and men's style trends are evolving.

Until recently, style-savvy gents had limited choice when it came to jewelry. All men should at least give wearing jewelry a try, and solid finger ring in two-three tone colors is an easy way to elevate your look. It requires minimal effort and makes a simple but classy statement. There's a bit of a barrier for men regarding any sort of jewelry, and necklaces and are considered one of the hardest items to wear. But take your cue from the professionals — men can and do look great wearing necklaces. That means necklaces that are a little more rugged and rough around the edges. Good jewelry for men should look natural — like you've been wearing it for years. Most men who wear necklaces well won't be noticeable for their jewelry. You'll just see them as "stylish," and then notice the accents over time. Necklaces have sashayed down the men's catwalk for the likes of all top brands. Mona Shroff Jewelry has designed a few exclusive pieces for her Catwalk fashion shows using coconut shells, Mother of Pearl, Beads, Vegetable dyes, Semi-precious stones, Copper, Brass, and Gold medals. All her pieces are Handmade, and her high-end line is 18k Gold plated in Brazil. http://monashroffjewellery.com http://monashroffjewellery.com/jewellery-in-hong-kong Photo credit: Mona Shroff''s Personal Archives (Men's Jewelry collection) & Men's jewelry collection of Mona Shroff (India Beach fashion show)

The Max Update A two-part series from the "Secret History of Fashion". Once upon a time Super Models ruled the world. Some sources say they appeared as early as the 1940's with Carmen Dell'Orefice, but what history records today are the original icons which included: Pat Cleveland, Iman, Linda Evangelista, Cindy Crawford, Naomi Campbell, Claudia Schiffer and The Face of the Century, as the Met Museum called her, Christy Turlington. Kate Moss would appear later. Part 2 coming up will include: Kim Alexis, Kelly Emberg, Capucine, Angelica Huston, Christy Brinkley, Veronica Web, Innes de la Fresange, Paulina Poriskova, Jerry Hall, Tyra Banks, and Stella Tennant. The Super Models had an anthem, it was George Michael's hit "Freedom 1990", Gianni Versace used the song to close his show in 1991.
