During the COVID 19 pandemic, we diverted our production into designer masks since our luxury is in a drastic situation. We have extended support to the community by giving away basic fabric masks to the underprivileged.
The fashion world will undergo a drastic change after the lockdown is over, and the masks will become an essential yet fashionable accessory. So to cope up with this designer brands across the world are coming up with their own line of designer masks. I am one of the first Indian designers to come up with a line of masks in March. Production did lag behind after the lockdown, but now we are making designer masks for all occasions.

Casual wear consists of cotton digital printed masks with tribal and quirky prints as well as solid ones in linen denim, partywear comes in sequined ones and other various embellished ones with matching dresses and gowns, leather and chained ones for a more grunge look and finally embroidered one with bridal. The picture defines a party, casual look, and a trikini....which is again a new term for the bikini with a mask. Š Red Silk Carpet June 2020

A n I nte r vi ew Wi t h P h o tographe r Mr i t yunj oy Q: How did you get into fashion photography? A: Since my graduation
days, I always had a curiosity and interest in photography, which grew more and more whenever I use to have a glimpse of any fashion magazine. But to be honest to the hardest of my dream, I never ever thought of getting opportunity into this stream. I still remember those early days when I use to park my bike on the roadside and look at those commercial
posters/hoardings for minutes. One beautiful day, I decided to start saving money and purchase my own DSLR. Once I had my own DSLR, the next challenge was to arrange a model to shoot and test my skills, but it is next to impossible. I thought of engaging as assistance to professional photographers, but this too didn't work.. Then I started to do freelancing to build my portfolio.
The only thing in short that I feel is I just love every single aspect of fashion photography, starting from clothing, models, makeup, ambiance, etc. It is a great platform to show photography talent.

"My Son Loves Photography, Let Him Do This" Š Red Silk Carpet June 2020
Q: What are the most challenging aspects of professional fashion photography?
A: The most challenging side is getting the opportunity to showcase what you have in this competitive age. You should have an impressive portfolio; else, no one is going to entertain you. On top of that, one needs to ensure that the deliverables are high quality and within expected timeframes, which will eventually help build that trust with designers and event management groups, which further leads to more opportunity. Still, the challenges don't end here; one has to on-board the right people in the team and has a perfect blend of hair, makeup artist,
stylist, etc. Q: What do you look for when scouting new locations?
A: There is always a dedicated space for a fashion photographer in every fashion event. What I do is reach the spot beforehand to analyse and choose my area. Picking up the right place is the crucial point of fashion photography. Next is assessing the light conditions of the venues. For any outdoor and studio shoot, I also prefer survey options available for my model's posing Q: Do you have any special, secret sauce that helps you define your style?
Š Red Silk Carpet June 2020
A: I am very particular about my seat allocation in every fashion event. Accurate and proper setting of my camera helps me defeat any challenges, say a poor light view. I prepare myself well enough, both physically and mentally for all my shoots. I always discuss with my client their expectation out of my shoot. And yes, I am still sober and polite to my clients. Q: Do your post-process your photos?
A: Yes, I do it sometimes, but mostly I do not require it. However, if there is a need, I use Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop for retouching.
Q: Being a self-taught photographer, what has been most valuable to you in your learning? A: It is not always necessary to go for a master's degree to become a photographer. I believed it is the hunger one should have for his/her passion. In my leisure time, I prefer analyzing my previous works and try to find what improvements can be done further. My mantra as a self-taught photographer; "Do shoot, shoot, and shoot for finding the mistake. And, do root cause
analysis for resolving the mistake". I worked for plenty of professionals, which I think has helped me learn things from each of them to find my own style. One should accept the challenge with a smile to move things forward and improve each time you shoot. Q: Could you please share the happiest moment in your photography life?
A: During my struggle
Website: www.themjstudio.com Š Red Silk Carpet June 2020
days of learning photography, I use to go for street photography at 5:00 AM, especially during weekends. Noticing this one beautiful day, a relative of mine asked me, "what do you get by wasting your time in photography?" My mother was next to him, and I heard her reply, "My son loves photography, let him do this." I have been appreciated many times by many, but those words from my mom will always be special.

moment, my life has radically changed.
• A.: Valentina is a very
• I moved to Milan,
humble 15-year-old girl, and on 26 July, I turn 16. I was born in Manfredonia, a beautiful city, which I decided to leave anyway to chase and realize my dream, that is, to become a model and settle in Milan. • Q.: How were you born, and how did your career develop? • A.: Ever since I was a
child, I've always imagined parading, even wearing my mother's clothes, simulating the catwalk at home. • My father, during the
summer, was lucky enough to meet Daniele Salvadore and Marta Losapio, owners of DSML Management, from which everything was born. To put me to the test, they made me participate in the final of the competition called "World Top Model," which was held in Salento, of which Fiore Tondi is the patron. On this occasion, I faced fifty finalists from all over Italy. It was an enjoyable experience because, in addition to finding a magical family within the organization, I was ranked among the first six finalists and chosen by Guido Dolci. Since that
many were the castings I had to participate in, many were the manifestations and TV episodes, and, finally, my first fashion show in Verona for "Cavalli. Q.: What is the life of a young model? A.: The life of a young
model is full of sacrifices, renunciations. It doesn't weigh on me much as they help me reach my goal, but I realize that I have a completely different life from my peers. I care a lot about food and skin, and above all, I must protect and protect my image because being part of Major Model Management is a great satisfaction, a great goal, but also a great responsibility. I am also considered the youngest model in the world. Q.: How do you reconcile working life and school career?
A.: Before it was very complicated to answer this question, actually, because of the Covid-19, I do my questions and homework online as all © Red Silk Carpet June 2020
students are doing in the last three months. But let me explain better: I attend the second year of the hotel school in Manfredonia, and when I was forced to move to Milan, my managers of the DSML went to the presidency of my school agreeing, in agreement with the Teachers' College, a school-work project, which includes homework and online questions. It's hard to underline how hard it is to come back after a day of work, start studying and prepare for the questions. Q.: Future projects?
A.: I don't hide the fact that because of COVID, we live from day to day, waiting for activities to resume as before the lockdown. Currently, I am waiting to re-enter Milan, the Major is waiting for me. Anyway, I have many projects in the pipeline, but I prefer not to reveal them for superstition. A shooting in Trani is imminent, and then a lot of news will follow. Model: Valentina Corvino Photo-credit: Equipo

The announcement of the Official Selection of 2020 films Due to the global pandemic, the Cannes Film Festival will not take place this year under the conditions which are u, nor on the dates scheduled: from May 12 to 23, 2020. On March 19, it was postponed to the start of July. With Pierre Lescure, the President of the Festival, we had until April 15 to make a decision, we anticipated. But on April 13, French public authorities announced that no major cultural event could take place during the summer. Since September is traditionally the time
of our international colleagues at the Venice and Toronto festivals, there was no question of settling there. As for organizing Cannes later, in October or November, well after all the fall back-toschool festivals, that was not possible. Finally, it is an important tradition even if it is marked by sadness. I would like to salute the memory of those who, all these years, has honored Cannes with their presence, their support and their affection: the journalists Claude Carrez and Peter Van Bueren, our dear colleague JosĂŠ Maria

One last thing: 2020 is the year of Federico Fellini's centenary. For twelve days, we would all have taken up these three words from the Maestro that Quentin Tarantino never fails to repeat in a thunderous way and which, more than ever, flow in our veins of film buffs: Viva il cinema!

The exhibit will take place in one of the capitals of contemporary art – the city of Miami and will bring together the pieces by the artists selected on a competitive basis from UK, Mexico, Cuba, the USA, Russia, India, Portugal, and others. The idea of the project offered by the curator is based on the most terrible but very important phenomenon of our times – the Covid19 pandemic. More © Red Silk Carpet June 2020
precisely, on the forced isolation of the creative persons who are used to draw inspiration from the beauty of the world around them, from communicating with people, traveling, and visiting cultural places. Being deprived of these opportunities and being cut off from the others, the artist is undergoing a creative crisis. But at the same time, an upsurge. The borders are closed, the doors are locked, and it seems like there is no escape from the inaction and boredom. However, the organizers of the exhibit offered the participants to look around, no matter where they were, and to see the beauty in ordinary things that caught their eye everywhere. In the living room, in the garage, in the kitchen, in the bedroom, in the garden...
To use these objects (or the emotions that they caused) to create brand
new works of art. During the exhibit, the curators will show through the eyes of the variety of artists a section of the artworks created during the pandemic. While also including as many countries as possible. It is challenging to follow world news and to assess its objectivity. However, artists of all time and nations were trying to reflect the history sincerely and objectively, each in his own unique style. Moreover, the lack of the means, the materials, or the movement was always pushing the masters to create their greatest masterpieces. The curators would like to know and to show the viewers how it really was. Therefore, in the frame of the competition, the special attention was given to the artworks reflecting the realities of isolation or inspired by the related events.
This summer, celebrating the end of the pandemic, the guests of Chirino Said Art Gallery in Miami will be able to enjoy new artworks created by artists from around the world, and young authors will have the opportunity to leave their mark on the history of art. The viewers will see the pieces created in such techniques as Painting, Street Art, Photo Art, Video Art, Graphics, Ceramics, Art Object. Another important direction of the “I’M BORDERED” movement is Fashion because, after the quarantine, new trends were born. The fashion shows by the partners the London Brand Yana Flame Queen Couture and the New York Production Company Bella Fashion Designs will be held at the VIPpreview.
