Carolina de Athey Our cover this month is Brazilian actress, model, and singer Carolina de Athey. Since childhood she has always been interested in music, even taking singing and piano lessons. Moving to the United States, she began modeling, while living in the state of Texas, began shooting short films, which made her fall in love with the art of acting and filmmaking. Despite her new interest in acting, she continued to work on her music and continued and still is modeling. She then finally moved to "movie city," Los Angeles. Moving closer to the much-dreamed Hollywood, she began taking acting classes at the Academy of Actors and took classes with Professor Lewis Smith, investing more closely in this new dream that awoke and gained full force. Soon after starting classes, she landed the first role in a music video, Afterlife by the famous band Arcade Fire which was directed by Canadian director Emily Kai Bock. It was a fun, interesting project being that Carolina had to be aged by makeup to look like a 20 + year younger than her husband. She played a Mexican wife immigrant from the 50`s era. And I have to say at that time “men were very lucky The Music video has over 8 Million views, and it`s a beautiful piece of cinematography. She had already appeared in as White Tin 2013, following Afterlife she shot The Summer Story, The Night Caller and Swimming with Sharks both in 2016. In the same year the actress released her first short film which was produced and starred in, Confessions of the Fashion World. The film was accepted in several Film festivals and won an Award!
Working parallel to her acting performances, in 2012 Carolina had released her first single and Music Video ’Why” which is available on Spotify, iTunes and YouTube video among other platforms. Carolina also launched “Jumping on the Floor” which fuses pop music and Brazilian percussion, and she has recently collaborated with international artists such as the Englishman Mr. Blarny in the song 21st Century Blitz. In the music field she has other individual projects and partnerships that are yet to come, and she`s already working on another collaboration with Mr. Blarny. We can`t wait to hear it!
Now despite the busy, project-packed agenda, interest in the fashion world has begun to bear fruit as collaborations with the Hot Miami Shades Brands, Rox Jewelry, Barcelona Enterprises featuring Carolina with Aniise Beauty, Maserati and Ketel One, Chic NYC, Amazon, Las Vegas Food & Wine, and Bombshella jewelry (which makes our Cover), handbags and shoes, Sugar & Kush, PinchMe and Femme Luxe to say a few.
What to expect from this wonderful woman who is always involved in something new and brightening us with her unique beauty? The answer is much more, movies like Crossing Flowers Motel, Vampires Vs. Aliens, The Cupids has Carolina attached and are in development. Relentless Love is completed while the short film Together written and directed by Tony Scott and already been screened. With two Academy Awards qualifying Film Festivals with a stellar cast. The film was recently screened at the very prestigious That Film Festival in London.
Carolina is now signed with the American Artists Group.
In the last couple of months Carolina has hosted the Universe Multicultural Film Festival produced by Lynn Tang who is also a producer on the film The Cupids. Previously, Carolina has graced the cover of Red Silk Carpet and Vegas 2 LA and has been featured at the prestigious Magazine-blog Voyage LA. All and all what we see is the Birth of a Movie Star! Carolina’s beauty, determination, drive, professionalism and charisma make us want to see more and more of De Athey! We root for you and can`t wait to see her on a Spielberg, Michael Bay or Patty Jenkins movie because we love the Girl Power! By Hevile Soares
Here, Carolina is wearing jewelry from Bombshella which has been growing on social networks and gaining loyal consumers around the world.

"Girls and their hats. Welcome to the wonderful world of Designer millinery.
These paintings partly had their beginning when in the 1970's I was involved in the Los Angeles classic Art Deco department store, Bullocks Wilshire, as the Store Superintendent. The girl with the purple hair is Miss Maureen Crompton, and the girl with the red hair is Arianna Worthington. I've worked with both ladies over the last 55 years in Europe and the USA. For these two paintings to work in this genre I needed a link, the classic Art Deco millinery hat is that link that made these paintings possible. Ed Morales"

Passion Beyond Imagination Paula Goia is a young Hair and Makeup Artist who has recently won the Trophy Award at the World Fashion Festival Awards (Spring/Summer 2019). Through her work and skills, Paula has demonstrated how to be successful with consistent discipline, hard work, and passion! How would you describe yourself ? What about your friends (how would they describe you)?
I would say I am incredibly passionate about life and all things related to beauty. I am honest, loyal, very hardworking, and my friends say I'm a perfectionist, funny, loyal, and always ready to help. How did you discover your passion for makeup?
My passion for make-up began in my high school
years, where I developed a love for beauty, makeup, and colors. My sister was a great inspiration to me as I remember she was the first one that did my make-up for a wedding many years ago and I just fell in love with it. As I matured, I used to look at how polished and stylish she was. She always had the best clothes, and some of the greatest make up brands in hand.
for a person? And makeup style you like the most?
When did you decide to have a career as an MUA?
I love the uniqueness in all faces, and this is what makes this job so beautiful and exciting. In beauty, we look for aesthetic symmetry as that's "the golden rule," but I genuinely believe beauty comes from the inside, which is reflected outwards. I am just the bridge with the correct tools and colors that brings harmony to the surface.
When I realized that my passion was in the world of beauty and in particular, women's fashion and make-up, I gathered the necessary finances that I had saved and enrolled at the London School of makeup to become certified. What’s your favorite part when applying makeup
I enjoy all aspects of make-up, but my preferences are bridal and editorial, which are my specialties, and both allow me to express my creativity. You’ve had the chance to work with hundreds of faces. Which type of face requires careful skills?
When you look at a professional makeup done by someone else, what gets your attention first?
A proper blending technique is the first thing I focus on. You are truly a gifted MUA. Your work is getting huge recognition
worldwide and you have also been awarded in the past months, including at the World Fashion Festival Awards. How does it feel to see your efforts and passion being recognized and appreciated?
my path who have supported and encouraged me. The WFFA was a spectacular and unforgettable event for which I feel very proud and will be forever grateful for the platform this event afforded me.
I have been truly blessed to have met some fantastic people along
What’s the biggest accomplishment you’ve had as a professional MUA?
The smile on my client's faces is the most significant accomplishment for me. So far, I've worked in some of the best fashion
shows, extravagant weddings, and recently collaborated on a Netflix series with Mac Cosmetics where I assisted their global make-up artist, and above that, some of my work was published in Vogue USA as part of
the Arabian Gazelles Group of Dubai. What’s your favorite quote?
"You get in life what you have the courage to ask for" by Oprah Winfrey, an amazing woman, I truly get inspired by.

Caruso di Lucio Dalla is one of the first songs I sang, so it reminds me of the whole journey I made, is my favorite. What is the weirdest thing that ever happened to you while singing on stage? On the stage, a lot of things can happen to me personally nothing particular has ever happened only technical problems with the base. What's next in your

Ioana Emilia Urcan alias Ioana Modista is one of the Romanian leading designers. She was awarded in 2018 as the 2nd runner up at the World Fashion Festival Awards in Dubai for the category BEST Collection. The stunning collection of haute couture is dedicated to strong and bold women and another one dedicated to children of all ages. After her launch in Dubai, she returned back home to her Atelier full of high dreams and goals. This is how her project WIP Academy came to life, dedicating her full time and passion to mentoring and inspiring young talented children heading the career of fashion design.
Tell us about how the WIP Model Academy project started.
After winning at WFFA in 2018, I returned to Romania with my dream come true, so I wanted to set another goal and to open a Fashion Academy for Kids, a professional academy where I can empower the little children to become fashion designers starting from the age of 6 and to guide them to a future career organizing: drawing courses, fashion design courses, photo-shooting sessions and launches of collections. What can WIP Model Academy offer?
The most important contest (and the only one!) in Romania is the Fashion International Kids designers and Miss Mister Wip Model Academy by Ioana I & B where children have the opportunity to launch their own fashion designs and creations. The talented winners of this competition will then be featured at WFFA in Dubai where they will participate to represent Romania internationally. How would you describe yourself ?
My characterization is very simple – I am a simple woman with a great soul who adores
what I do, I adore children and everything that makes them happy that's why I chose to work with children in the Academy. Sixty beautiful smart children that I will help climb their fashion paths and careers, becoming professionals from an early age! What makes you motivated? Children are my inspiration, they practically fill you with positive energy, with colorful cheerful inspirations! They are angels on the ground who deserve everything!
What are the next plans of the Academy?
The aim of the Academy is to develop as many fashion designers and models as possible and to give them full support with their launch on the market! Let's continue to promote kids, talented beautiful children that have not been discovered so far! Children to proudly represent Romania in all competitions! We have children from Bucharest, Sibiu, Tg. Mures, Cluj Napoca etc. who attend intensive classes! Practically, the headquarters and children's capital of Fashion Designers is in Alba Iulia - the city in the heart of Romania where children meet to create a future from 3 to 16 years of age! God be with us to grow them nicely, to enjoy all our releases of future projects, to have as much experience to be known in Dubai as an Academy of Angels who want to conquer a whole
world! Dubai is going to be our eternal soul! What’s the future event of the Academy?
The Academy, after a year and a half of its opening, has progressed enormously through a lot of work through many sacrifices having competitions across the country with maximum success, with wonderful children, with talented children who are progressing every day, being optimistic in what I do! The best children will have the opportunity to participate in the biggest festival in the Middle East - WFFA Dubai 2019 (in Oct, at the Sofitel the Palm Dubai)! Big thanks to the organizers of WFFA for the warmth and support they’ve given! The most talented children of Romania - Wip Model Academy by Ioana I & B will launch their
collections on the highest ramp of Dubai on October 4-5, 2019 in the heart of Dubai (on the palm!) I am very proud we reached so far and as an international Fashion Designer and Creative Director of Wip Model Academy by Ioana I & B, I am very optimistic that our roads will head higher with these wonderful talented children. As Henry Ward Beecher said (and I truly believe in!) “Children are the hands by which we take hold of heaven”.

International Fashion Expo: Agreements With New Partners by Saif Rahman Sozib A lot of news has emerged in recent days for the International Fashion Expo, an event that will be held in Milan, Saturday, September 21, during the fashion week and that will be a platform to connect brands and designers, some of the emerging but able to represent excellence, with professionals such as journalists, buyers, bloggers and influencers. The goal, therefore, will be to provide these young fashion entrepreneurs the opportunity not only to sell and make known to
the market their collections but also provide them with visibility through Italian and foreign media. With the new agreements signed by WiCom, which manages the press office of the International Fashion Expo, the event and the interviews with the participating designers, will be reported not only by national and European magazines but also in the United States, and in most of Asia. Last but not least. We also have made agreements with international broadcasters such as USTV. In the United States this is the platform for the major world broadcasters such
as MTV, AlJazeera America, and CBS, just to name a few. Metro TV, the Media Group's television giant and the first news channel in Indonesia open 24 hours a day, based in West Jakarta and broadcasting throughout the Asian continent via satellite, streaming, cable and digital terrestrial. Therefore, with these new agreements, all the footage shot during the event will also be broadcast on the broadcasters mentioned above. In addition to the live broadcasts that will be broadcast by Metro TV through the Italian correspondent Rieska Wulandari, to give prestige and visibility worldwide to the brands that will participate in the event.
International Fashion Expo: The Countdown Begins
The countdown has begun for the International Fashion Expo, an event that will be held on 21 September in the middle of fashion Week in Via Monte Napoleone. Milan has always been the capital of Italian fashion in the world and is the city with the most renowned schools for fashion designers that train new talents in the fashion world. But analyzing the fashion market, we can see that young brands face many obstacles to emerge: the competitions organized
by the bodies operating in the field give space only to a few lucky, and the fairs have costs, sometimes prohibitive for young fashion designers.
the world of fashion are decreasing.
In addition, the period of crisis that the sector is facing adds to the other difficulties encountered: buyers, as well as showrooms, do not want to risk investing in names not known by the market and for this reason, the selection is becoming increasingly widespread.
This will allow a limited and select number of fashion designers to make their way and capture the attention of the most important Italian and international buyers and showrooms, as well as accompanying new talents to the market with a real exhibition of their collections during the Milan Fashion Week.
The lack of dialogue between the three sides does not help, and the chances of success in
The International Fashion Expo aims to create an effective communication plan.
They can present them to all stakeholders: buyers, fashion bloggers, journalists, supporting and guiding fashion designers in choosing the most suitable and effective means of communication to achieve the goals set. Despite the current crisis in the print media, the magazine is still an effective means to reach the public in the sector, who can browse through it and discover young and exciting fashion
proposals, but also interviews with the most famous buyers and buying companies of the brands. However, the Internet remains the most suitable medium as it allows us to reach a wider audience with costs significantly lower than the printed paper. In this edition we will find Italian and foreign brands: Maria Janet Costa from Sicily, Pasqua Pistillo from Puglia, Dyanthus from Veneto, Ludovica
Mazzoni and Leonidè Mon from Emilia Romagna; while from abroad, we will find Agnes Wuyam from France and Rosemarie Anyango Omondi from Kenya. The event will also be attended by numerous media partners: the International Fashion Expo will be followed by titles from France, Great Britain, the U.S.A., India, Eastern Europe and, of course, numerous Italian titles, both generalist and from fashion sector.

Diana Babyna Tough and Charming as a Diamond by Saif Rahman Sozib
Diana Babyna (20 y.o.) is a beautiful model, originally from Ukraine. She lives in Italy with her family for 10 years, and she is currently undertaking university studies where her subjects are Arabic and Russian languages. Diana has been seen performing on the high fashion stages, including at the World Fashion Festival Awards (Dubai) for the past 2 years. She is very popular in Dubai, and her return to Dubai always seems to be as “returning home.” Let’s get to know the story of Diana Babyna with the next interview. What did you choose to make a career from modeling?
I choose to begin this career why, as a child, I was passionate about
fashion and show. So I decided to follow my dreams. Where have you modelling so far?
I was a model in Dubai at the fashion show “World Fashion Festival Awards” and there I got a shooting for the brand Emuleos (collection: Tougher than Diamonds) and Delves JK. In Italy, I had opportunity to model for Roma Fashion Week, Sposi ma non solo, Forte in Fashion and Delves JK in Milano. What is your favorite country to travel to for fashion shows?
Dubai is my favorite country to travel to for fashion shows. It is nice to be able to model in Dubai, very luxury and futuristic city. Do you have any favorite fashion designer? Who is and Why?
My favorite fashion designer is Gucci because I admire him for his precious leather craftsmen, that make its product unique and for looking carefully at the details. At that time he was involved in the production of gloves, suitcases and small leather items. His fantasy gave birth to the brand consisted of three stripes: red, green, and red. Those are still current and fashionable nowadays. What would you like your audience to know about you?
I would like to make them understand how important it is to study and that’s why I put study first of all.
How did you start modeling?
It all started as a joke by joining a fashion agency in Milan when I was 11 years old, right after the fashion contest Miss Baby Model proposed to me to participate in the beauty contests which took place in Florence and Sardinia. As a result, in Florence, I won my first crown, and in Sardinia I won second place. At the age of sixteen, I participated in Miss Europa in Italy, where I won the title of Miss Smile. In a short time, the agency Smac Fashion Atelier contacted me, so I joined this agency, and I began to participate in many fashion shows in whole Italy. Then in 2018, I modeled for the first time in Dubai at World Fashion Festival Awards, it was an enjoyable experience with the staff very kind, organizers available and all high level. I fell in
love with Dubai and came back for the second edition, I hope to return also for the third edition that will be held in October.
in the evening, I watch some movies, or I see my friends, but usually I have dinner at 9 o'clock. I typically go to sleep around midnight.
Where can we see you next?
What is your biggest dream to achieve as a model?
World Fashion Festival Awards, competing for the BEST MODEL Awards, on October 4th and 5th 2019, at the Sofitel The Palm Dubai. Wish me good luck and vote for me. How does a typical day look for you?
I wake up usually at 9 am, then I devote myself to cleaning my body and face. Then I like to have breakfast of bread with Nutella and milk or cereals with milk. After that, I go out with my dog for a walk. When I come back, I dedicate myself to reading a book or to cleaning my room. Around 2 pm, I have lunch with my family, and after that, I take a nap. At 4 pm, I start studying until late, and
My biggest dream is to model for Gucci. If you want to follow Diana’s next features and runway shows, stay in touch with her social media at Diana Babyna (facebook) or Diabentley (Instagram). Photo credit: I TRANCHESE Fotografi, Emuleos and Anshad Guruvayoor

BRAND/LEDEA Dress Where the Red Carpet Begins
VENICE FASHION & FILM represents "BRAND/LEDEA Dress" by Saif Rahman Sozib
"Brand/LEDEA Dress" is an exclusive brand of fashion designer Amina Nehal. A conversation of Amina Nehal with her dress design sense & planning about upcoming events VENICE FASHION & FILM are as follows :
1. How would you describe your personal style?
I dress in my mood sometimes glam chic, sometimes streetwear, occasionally casual, the most important is that each piece is of good quality. 2. How would you relate past & present fashion trends?
For me, they have a connection point. Many things that were fashionable in the past have become fashionable,
like high-waisted pants or elephant pasts. I just wear the pieces in a different way. 3. How comfortable are you working for hands with model & other designers?
All the people we work with are people with whom we have a good feeling, we follow our instinct to select the people around us, and it has always worked well so far. 4. Why it's important to present your collection in
Venice during the film festival? It is an international event and a great honor to present our collection here in Venice in this beautiful city. 5. How would you deal with an arrogant client? I think you would have to be patient and stay professional, never forget that the customer is king, the most important thing is that the customer leaves satisfied.
6. If you win Cannes Fashion & Film awards “best designers, what this represent for you?
find solutions. Teamwork is a real asset when everyone is on the same page.
It would be an excellent chance for us and a truly exceptional opportunity.
9. What kind of software do you use while designing, if no, then also be frank?

The good old pencils. We draw our creations by hand, then we go up with the seamstress our creations and modify them if necessary.
The critical factors of the fashion industry are: Today, we can say that social networks bring a new field to the fashion industry. 8. What do you think about work ethics and what kind of ethics you believe in following while working with fashion?
For us, the best of ethics is respect for everyone at all levels. I think we should not be tough on people and value them in their field if we do not like certain things, so we talk, and we come together to

I Utilize Five Main Colors Called “Oh -Bang Saek as a Base Designer Grace Moon by Saif Rahman Sozib 1. When did you first discover that you wanted to be a fashion designer?
cultural background, innately American and innately Korean.
Growing up in South Korea at the time, there were not many international fashion designers in Korea. I was always talented and interested in artistic and visual presentation, and after finding fashion could be a profession, I wanted to be a designer on a global stage to really inspire other girls, especially other Korean girls, to utilize and expand their creative capabilities and to empower themselves through bold expression.
3. What are your favorite materials to work with?
2. How would you describe your designs? Having studied fashion in London at 19 and living in the United States for over 30 years now, I am inherently American as I am Korean. As such most of my designs attempt, fuse Korean heritage with a more Western expression, blending and showcasing my bi-
Fabric and material are essential to a designer's work. Fortunately, I have a great sponsor in Gyeonggi Textile Center (GTC). GTC is a Korean textile company representing 100+ different textile mills in the province of Gyeonggi in South Korea. I am the first designer that GTC has sponsored internationally, and we work very closely with the LA branch, GTC-LA, to prepare trend-setting, unique, and quality fabric and materials to utilize in my designs. 4. How vital is a trendsetting color to your design process?
Color is extremely important to me; one can say it is almost the most important to me and my designs. Color is an expression of the mind and a window into the
soul. As such, I place an enormous emphasis on the colors I choose to present and the different ways I present them. Traditionally, Korean culture utilizes 5 primary colors called "Oh-Bang Saek" meaning "5 Colors". They include red, blue, yellow, black, and white and it is used extensively in Korean traditional wear. I utilize these colors as a base and homage to my heritage and mix that with the bright and vibrant colors of California, my 2nd hometown. 5. How did your knowledge of color theory change the way you think about design?
Because I think so importantly of color, I think I place immense and highlight color and styling with colors. If you look carefully at my designs, I believe I use a pretty minimalist approach.
My designs are not super detailed or super extravagant, they tend to be plain and simple to highlight and accentuate the beautiful textile of Korea as well as the colors I employ. I believe that is my strength and what differentiates me as a designer. 6. Who or what is your biggest inspiration?
Inspiration comes from all places, but for me it most of the time comes from culture. Having lived in California for 30+ years, I am just as Californian as I am Korean, but there is often a very jarring difference in culture between these two cultures. It is those differences that inspire me to figure out how I can seamlessly blend two things that seem so different, seem to be opposite, and bring harmony. I often think of it in a bigger scale, just like in fashion, I believe despite our
differences, whether in culture, race, sex, or religion, there are ways in which we all can come together as human beings, and that is the more significant statement that motivates my designs and my work. 7. What is the biggest risk you ever took with a design?
I am not sure if it was a risk, but I had a design I wanted to show in New York Fashion Week that I was looking very much forward to. However, the model that I chose for the design happened to be 15 years old, and in America, as an underage model essential she couldn't wear my design the way it was because it was too revealing. I ended up changing almost everything, cutting parts, sewing others, adding accessories to change and cover the model, but also to accentuate the design to the model and it turned out to be quite
a hit at the show. I think one of my strengths is the splitsecond decisions, a certain "feel" for putting my designs together. There are a lot of great designers with fabulous designs, but I think my strength lies in putting the pieces together uniquely and especially. 8. What are you working on now? Any new designs you can hint at?
I have been invited to show during Paris Fashion Week and Gyeonggi Textile Show in South Korea in October. I am fervently preparing for that now. I have been, and still, am, a huge fan of Audrey Hepburn and Princess Diana, as fashion icons and the beautiful souls that they were. My designs will be inspired by the two strong and beautiful ladies that not only inspired me but also a multitude of people and generations.
