The Barley Mow is a pub and restaurant set in a Grade-II-listed building on the corner of Brown Hart Gardens and Duke Street, Mayfair.

The building was snapped up by pub group Cubitt House a while back, after closing down during the pandemic. Now you can admire the refurbished surroundings and sink an ale with the likes of haggis Scotch eggs or battered pollock, chips and mushy peas.

The Barley Mow has not changed much over the centuries, keeping many of its original features. Two private 'booths' located directly at the bar have been restored and the whole area was given a contemporary style with bright pops of colour.

The oak bar fitting which sweeps across the central space on the ground floor, retains a British pub feel with an upscale design. Using natural materials of a high quality that are durable and can age well, is a technique used by the designer to create the notably high-end interior.

As for The Barley Mow’s restaurant, the first floor is a 45-seater space, which aims to be both contemporary and clubby.
