This styled shoot is part of Confetti Fair's United States of Party collaboration; a collection of 23 unique parties and events – all inspired by a US location.

A little mid-western inspiration mixed with an eco boho-luxe mood give this party an interesting take on an ever-popular story and party theme.

What inspired you to choose Kansas?

Kansas automatically made me think of The Wizard of Oz. I’ve had an idea for a boho rainbow party for while now, so saw this commission as the perfect opportunity to bring it to life!

What influenced the theme and styling?

There is a big earth-tone trend in children’s room decor at the moment so I wanted to bring this into a colour scheme for a party! Also, Made by Thu’s beautiful handmade yarn rainbow was a starting point for the feel of the party too!

Which DIYs or party trends did you incorporate into your shoot?

We used them where we could. We tried to keep everything eco-friendly, so we used coconut bowls and Meri Meri’s new biodegradable plates! Not necessarily a trend, but I think we are becoming more conscious of using eco-friendly items. The balloons were also ecofriendly and the flowers all British (Fable & Moon are based in the UK) and homegrown!

What is your favourite thing about the USA?

The USA is such an eclectic mix of cultures! I also love its sense of fun and “go big or go home” attitude when it comes to life! The food is pretty awesome too!
