Once again we have something for everybody in this issue including children, musicians, gardeners, photographers and food lovers. We have six pages of things to do in our What’s On section, not to mention a cake to bake on page 26 and some interesting walks to go on on page 36, some for charity and others just for fun. Onto music - if you love opera you must read all about Opera in the Orchard on page 32, still going strong after nine years. Now, have you got a budding rock musician in your family? If so, you need to show them page 15. Shutupfool Studios in Kelvedon are very excited about a brilliant service they are offering new and more experienced musicians and bands who are serious about promoting and presenting themselves professionally. I’ve seen what they can do with a video camera, and it is superb! Also, if you like to sing, you might consider joining Rock Choir details about how it all started are on page 33. Rock Choir have over 160 groups in the UK and three of those are in our area. If you were one of our many readers who admired our lovely owl photo on the cover of our last issue you will find our article on page 37 very interesting. We have an interview with the photographer Neil Catchpole who tells us how and when he got that fantastic shot. Finally - I’d like to welcome our new advertisers who have come on board - I wish you all success in the magazine. Plus a big thank you must go to you the readers who support and use the local businesses in the Connection. Supporting our local economy has never been more important. Hope you all have a great Easter and I’ll see you again soon.

Sarah.

Life coach Annabel Sutton The Art of Saying “No” I’m convinced that if we all became adept at the art of saying ‘no’ our lives would be simpler, more balanced and decidedly less stressful. It’s a tiny word - seemingly so insignificant – but it can have far-reaching consequences. It’s not always easy to say ‘no’. We don’t want to appear rude or selfish or feel that we’re letting people down; maybe we’re flattered to be asked, perhaps saying ‘no’ implies we’re not a team player, or perhaps we simply want to be liked. Could it be that saying yes and filling our time is actually a cunning form of procrastination? The point is that every time you say yes to something you are, effectively, saying NO to YOU. Yes, you’ll volunteer at the conference but that means saying no to time you might be spending on your own projects; time with your family; time for you. If you find it hard to say ‘no’ here are a few tried and tested tips: Play for Time It’s when we’re put on the spot that we’re likely to say ‘yes’ automatically. So next time someone asks you to do something for them or get involved in a project, tell them you need to check your diary and that you’ll get back to them (in an hour/ tomorrow/next week). This gives you the space to decide

whether this is something you genuinely want to do or whether it is, actually, a should. Ask yourself: Do I really have time for this? Can I commit to it wholeheartedly? If it’s a yes — great. If not, get back to them and say no. Use the Sandwich Technique If you’ve decided to say no, how to do it in a way that feels comfortable? This technique is a great way to say no gracefully — it makes it easier for the person to accept — and it also makes it more difficult for them to come back in an attempt to change your mind. You simply ‘sandwich’ the negative statement in between two positives. For example: “Thanks so much for inviting me to help with your event. Unfortunately I can’t take part this time, but I appreciate you asking and hope it goes really well.” Learning how to say ‘no’ will boost your confidence, lower your stress levels and improve your work/life balance. Not only that, but others will respect you for it. Annabel Sutton is a Professional Certified Life Coach with 12 years’ experience. Lawn Maintenance Those of us with gardens - might ask the question ‘should we get a lawn maintenance company in or should we just do it ourselves?’ I asked Andrew Barlow from Grasshopper Lawncare his view. Although getting your lawn into good condition and keeping it that way is not complicated or difficult, you do need a reasonable level of horticultural knowledge to achieve it. You also need time, and the ability to select and purchase the right raw materials, you may also need some specialised equipment. But it is not impossible, and more than a few enthusiastic homeowners manage to achieve great results. However - if your lawn is struggling with weeds and moss, or is lacking colour and density it is certainly worth considering using a specialised maintenance company. You will probably be pleasantly surprised at how cost effective and hassle free getting somebody else to do this work is. Lawn treatment service providers offer to do all this for you, often at a price comparable to DIY. And for many homeowners this is an attractive proposition. Over the last 10 years the number of businesses offering a Lawn Treatment Service in East Anglia has risen dramatically. In fact 10 years

ago there were probably only 2 or 3 such firms, now there are literally dozens. They come in all shapes and sizes, from the `man and a van` start up, to the polished frontage of a franchise package operator. Grasshopper Lawncare was founded over 10 years ago by trained Green Keeper Tim Woolnough, who is still very much` hands on` as our Managing Director. From day one the objective was to offer great value and service while sticking to sound horticultural practice and the application of good science. As an independent, family run business, those remain our goals. Our focus is on results, through the correct use of the highest quality raw materials applied with expertise and care by our hugely experienced team of groundsmen. Andrew Barlow If you think your Lawn deserves some expert attention it only takes a phone call to get the ball rolling. You can call Grasshopper free on 08000 14 18 17 to arrange a no obligation lawn survey and treatment quotation.

Book Reviews The Play’s the Thing

April sees us celebrating Shakespeare’s birthday. He’s our most celebrated playwright but who else believed ‘all the world’s a stage’?

Alan Bennett Fame came knocking overnight for Bennett after the Oxford university lecturer teamed up with Dudley Moore, Jonathan Miller and Peter Cook to write and perform in the satirical revue Beyond the Fringe. One of his most-loved series is Talking Heads which was originally written as a series of hilarious character monologues for the BBC. Bennett enjoyed further acclaim with his play The History Boys. Set in a fictitious boys’ grammar school it follows a group of students preparing for the Oxbridge exams. It won the Laurence Olivier Award for Best New Play in 2005 and scooped Best Play at the Tonys the following year.

Alan Ayckbourn Playwrights don’t come more prolific than Alan Ayckbourn who’s written more than seventy plays. In Absurd Person Singular, three married couples take it in turns to host a dinner party on three consecutive Christmas Eves. It was adapted into a television drama with Geoffrey Palmer, Maureen Lipman, Michael Gambon and Prunella Scales among the cast. Sisterly Feelings is a challenging Ayckbourn play following the lives of siblings Abigail and Dorcas. The first and last scenes always remain the same, whilst the decision to go with either Dorcas’s story or Abigail’s is made on a coin toss at the end of the first. Some companies rehearse just one version but others learn both. Sir Tom Stoppard Stoppard began his career as a journalist before becoming a drama critic and then a playwright. His works often centre on themes of human rights, politics and freedom of expression. His first great success, Enter a Free Man follows the story of George who has unrealistic dreams about a reusable envelope empire he’s planning on building. In his Tony award-winning play Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead his two main protagonists are the actors playing the parts of the messengers in Shakespeare’s Hamlet. Most of the action takes place in the wings during Hamlet and great confusion and ambiguity ensues.

that ensues when they all invite a guest to stay for the weekend. Coward’s Blithe Spirit is also a theatrical mainstay. This time the socialite Charles Condomine is tormented by the ghost of his first wife who is hell-bent on ruining his second marriage.

A Darling Book for May

It’s time to crown the new May Queen and dance around the Maypole. Heavily rooted in the pagan and the celtic, celebrations are taking place across the land. This magical time of year is all about nature, fertility, tradition and folklore. Make yourself a daisy crown, sprinkle on some fairy dust and dance barefoot in the moonlight. Or failing that, find a patch of sunlight and let a book lead you on a merry dance… Lob, Linda Newbery The original inspiration for Newbery’s ‘Lob’ was a stranger she saw on her way to work; ‘the man who walks the roads’. Where was he going and where had he come from? This image, combined with those of the ‘green man’ in English Folklore who appears in carvings as a face amongst leaves and branches, lead to her to create her garden helper ‘Lob’. Lucy ‘s grandfather tells her about Lob and all the ‘Lobwork’ he does around the garden. You can only see him if you believe in him. It’s a beautiful and heart-warming children’s book which has great appeal for adults.

Harold Pinter The best thing about seeing a Pinter play is hearing everyone in the interval trying to work out what it all means. He won the Nobel Prize for Literature so you know it’s good stuff, you just may not know whether you actually like it or not. Although Pinter didn’t win Sir Noel Coward critical acclaim until The Caretaker, There’s still time to catch Noel it’s worth reading his earlier work, Coward’s Hay Fever which The Room, which is currently enjoying a he wrote in three successful run in the West days. Family Sunday lunch at the Coopers We had heard from several people that Sunday lunch at the Coopers was well worth a try, so last weekend we decided to build up an appetite, forego our usual Sunday Brunch after The Archers and give the Coopers a try. So we asked my husband’s brother and his wife along and the Banks family arrived in Aldham feeling very hungry indeed! We had a warm welcome from landlady Kay and whilst relaxing with our pre-dinner drinks we perused the tempting menu. Three of us chose Japanese Style King Prawns with a sweet chilli dip which we all enjoyed and Jane chose the Glazed Duck Salad with a honey, soy and sesame seed dressing. It looked delicious and she assured me that it was. Onto the main courses, our choices advertise call were Roast Chicken, Roast Beef,To Steak Pudding

and Lamb Cutlets. All dishes were generous portions and very tasty. In fact, full marks were awarded to the Steak Pud! Desserts were equally delicious - we sampled the warm Bakewell Tart and tangy Homemade Lemon Posset. On Thursday evenings the Coopers have a Steak Night where couples can order two steak meals and two glasses of wine for £24.95 - This offer is running until 30th September 2012 and we recommend you call to book. The restaurant is very roomy, yet with the warm colour scheme and ambient lighting, still has a cosy atmosphere. Plenty of space between the tables makes this an ideal place for a large family gathering or party venue.

Alison Byrne

It’s always a treat visiting Alison Byrne at her salon in Eight Ash Green. Recently I enjoyed having a BioHydroderm Facial. This treatment involved having my face exfoliated via a very gentle vacuum pressure. I felt and looked remarkably smooth and shiny when it was all over. Alison has now introduced three different types of anti-ageing facials all of which remove the need for expensive and invasive surgery. I took the opportunity to ask Alison all about the benefits of such treatments.

The ladies-only event will commence at midnight when 2,000 ladies will start their walk through Colchester. The Midnight Walk will start and finish at the Weston Homes Community Stadium, the home of Colchester United and walkers will follow a circular route of 12km (7.5 miles). Registration for the walk is just £15 and each lady will receive an official Midnight Walk t-shirt, along with an event pack containing helpful information and fundraising tips. Whilst this is a ladies-only walk there is definitely a part for men to play. The Midnight Walk team needs lots of men to volunteer their support to come along on the night and help in as many ways as possible. Ladies who don’t want to walk on the night but would like to volunteer are welcome too! The event is set to be a sell out and places are limited, so we would certainly recommend getting your place reserved as soon as possible. Food for Thought Perfect for a special Easter Sunday meal this indulgent dessert has a chocolate sponge base, creamy white chocolate mousse filling and a rich and dark chocolate glaze. It can be prepared the day before or made a couple of weeks in advance and frozen. Serves 8. Ready in 1¼ hours, plus 3 - 4 hours chilling.

Easter Chocolate Mousse Cake BASE

• 3 eggs • 70g caster sugar • 50g plain flour • 2 tbsp cocoa powder

MOUSSE

• 2 x 150g bars good quality white chocolate, broken into pieces • 3 tbsp milk • 1 tsp vanilla extract • 300ml double cream • 3 large egg whites • 2 tsp powdered gelatine

GLAZE

• 85g plain chocolate • 20g unsalted butter • 4 tbsp double cream • Melted white chocolate and small candy coated chocolate eggs, to decorate

1

Preheat the oven to 180C/Gas 4. Grease and line the base of a 20 cm round spring-form tin. To make the base, whisk the eggs and sugar together in a large heatproof bowl set over a pan of simmering water until very thick and pale – the whisk should leave a trail in the mixture when lifted.

2

Sift over the flour and cocoa and fold in gently. Pour into the prepared tin and bake for 12-15 minutes until just springy to the touch. Turn out and leave to cool completely. Clean the tin and lightly grease and re-line the base. Place the cold sponge in the base of the tin.

3

To make the mousse, place the white chocolate, milk and vanilla extract in a heatproof bowl set over a pan of simmering water and leave until melted. Remove from the heat and stir until smooth then stir in 4 tbsp of the cream.

4

Dissolve the gelatine in 2 tbsp hot water. Cool for a few minutes then stir into the chocolate mixture. Softly whip the rest of the cream and fold into the chocolate mixture. Whisk the egg whites until stiff and fold in. Spoon the mousse over the sponge base and chill for 3-4 hours until set.

5

For the chocolate glaze, melt the chocolate and butter in a heatproof bowl set over a pan of simmering water. Remove from the heat, stir until smooth then stir in the cream. Leave until cool and thick enough to spread, stirring occasionally.

Remove the mousse fromThe the tin and gently spreadwhen the chocolate over the top. Please cake mention Connection respondingglaze to adverts 6 28 Drizzle with melted white chocolate and decorate with the chocolate eggs.

Country Mutters

Catch of the Day....by Lady Muck

As the chill wind of recession blows harder I feel obliged to seek out any means of saving money but I’m beginning to wonder if it’s all worth it. Shopping online means working your way through so called offers like ‘50% off everything! Applies only to lifelong members of the Spondulix discount card scheme, excludes the one thing you want and only applies to purchases made before last Tuesday! The link below will waste an hour of your time, charge you a hefty fee and result in a plethora of annoying emails exhorting you to buy flesh-coloured support garments for the rest of your life!’ Even our menu has to fit round the latest deals. Youngest son moans: ‘Why are we always having meatballs?’ Eldest son replies sadly with one word, ‘Bogof’. They know there is no further discussion to be had. I go to the supermarket armed with a fistful of coupons but when I get to the checkout it turns out the 50p off toothpaste can’t be used on that sized tube, the 40 extra points offer only applies to low fat Bavarian yoghurt, I’ve spent 2p too little on the cheese counter and therefore don’t qualify for the free pot of chutney and the Chinese meal deal I spotted on the way round doesn’t compute because I’ve picked up Special Fried Rice instead of Fried Rice. And the £5 off expired yesterday. I must have mis-read the fine print because my appointment with the optician for 2 for 1 specs isn’t until tomorrow. Then I realise that I’ve handed over a voucher from another supermarket chain by mistake but the checkout lady says ‘Oh no - we accept those ones as well.’ My world reels. Does

30

Please mention The

this mean I don’t have to plan my entire week around trips to different supermarkets to use my vouchers? But then she says ‘Oh sorry - I can’t accept this - it’s only ones with barcodes beginning with Z9,’ and my world is righted again. As always, I am the exception to the rule. I pay, wearily stuffing the rejected coupons back in my purse. The checkout lady hands me my receipt along with you guessed it - half a dozen more coupons. Most ‘bargains’ actually make life much harder. I can only go to the cinema on Tuesdays (Grey Tuesday discount tickets - with your viewing experience enhanced by an argument between the couple next to you over who has the last fish paste sandwich). I can only eat out on Thursdays when I can use my 30% off gourmet dining card at any one of 2 gourmet fast food restaurants. I could take a train somewhere to see the sights but only if I take my child out of school for the day so that I can pay less money for more tickets using my Family railcard. We’re so conditioned to looking for a bargain that we’ll accept anything which is dressed up to look like one, but thankfully I did manage to spot the flaw in this advert for wine - ‘Special Offer £4.50 a bottle - or 2 for £10!’

Opera in the Orchard Imagine relaxing in a rural idyll, breathing in the scents of a midsummer garden as the sun sinks lower in the sky. The remains of an al fresco meal of local produce lie before you, you raise a glass of Prosecco to your lips as the sounds of an orchestra tune up getting ready for an open air opera performance. And all this takes place not on the outskirts of Rome, but in an English garden near Wickham Bishops. This is Opera in the Orchard and this year’s production is La Traviata - a tale of hope, despair and romantic love. Performed by The Garden Opera Company in David Pountney’s English translation, the outstanding singers include soloists from Covent Garden, Scottish Opera and English National Opera and are accompanied by a fully costumed band of acclaimed chamber musicians. But it’s not a highbrow vision of polite good taste. Robbie Bishop created Opera in the Orchard in the grounds of his own farmhouse

The Rock Choir Story Musician and singer Caroline Redman Lusher established Rock Choir to help reignite the joy of singing, bring people together and give them a positive, life enhancing experience. After gaining a degree in popular music Caroline pursued a performing career. After 4 years in London entertaining VIPs and celebrities, Caroline decided to relocate and started teaching music and performing arts at Farnborough 6th Form College. She saw how much the students wanted to sing and perform, but were shy, and had no experience in reading music. Caroline introduced weekly sessions around the piano and began teaching 3-part harmonies to popular songs. The sessions soon became so popular that parents started asking to join too … and the Rock Choir spark was ignited. Caroline placed posters in cafes in and around Farnham, and crossed her fingers – little realising the phenomenon she’d unleashed. The word spread, and

more people arrived each week. People instantly fell in love with the fresh new approach and inclusivity of Rock Choir. They embraced Caroline’s unique teaching methods, and her inspirational arrangements of feel good classics such as ‘Dancing In The Street’, and emotional, uplifting anthems like ‘Something Inside So Strong’. Caroline recruited a team of talented musicians to train as Rock Choir leaders, and found suitable rehearsal venues. Within 3 years Rock Choir was in 12 locations across Surrey with membership showing no signs of slowing down. In 2009, she attracted national press coverage and appeared on television. A record deal followed and over 1,000 Rock Choir members recorded Rock Choir Vol. 1. It went straight to number 1 in the Amazon charts, entering the top 20 in the UK album charts. In 2010 Caroline and her Rock Choir members were invited to support The Soldiers on their UK ‘Coming Home’ tour, which

To advertise call

culminated in a sensational performance at the Royal Albert Hall. Caroline began establishing Rock Choir across the UK. The following year, a TV crew spent several weeks with Caroline as Rock Choir opened in Yorkshire, and also prepared for its biggest ever show at the iconic Wembley Arena. The 3 part ITV1 documentary ‘The Choir That Rocks’ aired and Rock Choir released their second album, ‘Rock Choir Deluxe’. The phones haven’t stopped ringing, the emails keep flooding in …it seems people just can’t get enough of Rock Choir. There are now more than 15,000 members with rehearsals in 160 locations the length and breadth of the UK. From Aberdeen to Ascot, Rhondda to Rotherham, Belfast to Bexleyheath – people are singing their hearts out, and the woman behind it all is ever so slightly exhausted, yet just as passionate as ever. “Rock Choir is my world. It makes a lot of people very happy and even changes lives. Of course there are huge challenges and an exhausting workload, but it’s all worth it, especially when I meet the members.” To find out where our local Colchester, Sudbury and Witham choirs meet please visit: www.rockchoir.com

Gardening with Pippa Greenwood This is the time of year when you’re likely to start to notice the presence of slugs and snails in your garden, greenhouse, coldframe, window box....indeed just about everywhere. There are many different species; the most common in gardens are probably species of Milax (the keeled slugs) and Arion (e.g. the garden slug and the large black slug), plus the grey field slug (Deroceras reticulatus). The garden snail, Helix aspersa is generally the most troublesome but may also be joined by various species of the banded snail, Cepaea.

Slugs and Snails It never ceases to amaze me how much damage something as small as a slug can do and in such a short space of time. But then the truth of it is, there is never just one slug or one snail, you can always be sure that there will be hoards of them. I garden on clay and our soil is alkaline and so we have a plentiful supply of snails; if you garden on an acidic soil you will generally find that snails are not a problem as they need the calcium to make their shells. To say that they infuriate me would be an understatement, but the type I hate most are those small grey-black keeled slugs that do such a lot of damage to crops such as potatoes. I garden without chemicals so there is no question of using pellets, but I have tried pretty well every other trick in the book. When it comes to potatoes I grow largely earlies and early mains and these crops are less susceptible because they are lifted relatively promptly. It also pays dividends if you grow varieties such as Pentland Dell, Wilja, Charlotte, Estima and Pentland Ivory all of which show a good degree of resistance to these slugs. I also use the biological control nematode Phasmarhabdites hermaphrodita. True this may prove quite expensive but it works brilliantly against slugs, poses no environmental problems (it is a naturally occurring parasite of British slugs) and is perfect for controlling any slug that spends time underground. If you time the applications so that the crops, flowers or other plants are protected while they are at their most vulnerable, it shouldn’t be too much of an outlay. Slug and snail traps also work well, whether you buy your own ‘Slug Pubs’ or make them by plunging plastic beakers into the soil close to susceptible plants and then part filling them with beer. I once did a mini trial Time to see 34on Gardeners’ Question Please mention The which beers slugs and snails liked best, and

Guinness came out tops....with alcohol-free lager proving least popular! I also find that milk (stale works well) is good, and if you add a small quantity of grain or porridge oats to the liquid, the pests come in at an amazing rate. Do make sure that you leave a centimetre or so of the rim of the beaker protruding above the soil level as this will greatly reduce the number of beneficial creatures such as ground beetles that inadvertently fall in to the traps. Upturned half grapefruit skins or even large cabbage leaves can also be used as traps, but remember to empty or replace these daily or else the slugs and snails will re-enter the garden. If you create barriers around plants this can help, but I find it less reliable. My preferred materials are coco-shell (the mulching material), pine needles and crushed shells (e.g. oyster shell sold by poultry feed suppliers). But whatever you use do remember to put it in a complete circle around the base of the plant, not just a ring or the slugs may simply come up inside the ring and of course check it regularly, replenishing the material as necessary. So before they start to really get a hold, show them who is boss, and take action straight away: • Encourage wildlife such as ground beetles, birds and hedgehogs as these may help to keep numbers down. • Create barriers around particularly susceptible plants. • Buy or make slug traps. • If growing potatoes concentrate on earlies and lift these as soon as possible. • Grow varieties of potato that show some resistance to attack. • Use the biological control as a soil drench to control slugs (not snails) • Attach copper strip around the circumference of pots containing slug susceptible plants. • Go on night-time slug and snail hunts.

Obituary -John Edwin Copsey On December 29th 2011, John Copsey died at his home after a protracted illness. John had spent sixty years or more farming the land around Little Horkesley. He was known and respected widely as a sound man of the land. He was also known to many for his great stature, for the rollie welded to his bottom lip and for his red Panda car that rarely seemed to get out of second gear. It was extremely important to John that he die at home and his devoted family went to great lengths to ensure that this could happen. Kate Charlton-Jones

A Parliament of Owls

Last months striking cover shot of barn owls sitting on a branch provoked many comments from interested readers. A number of you wanted to know how it had been taken and almost everybody thought it must be very unusual to see so many owls gathered together in one place. Someone who can provide all the answers is the man behind the camera: Neil Catchpole, Project Officer for Dedham Vale AONB and Stour Valley Project. Neil’s work covers many aspects of countryside management including advising farmers on conservation matters, tourism and heritage and hands-on work maintaining nature reserves or habitat restoration for a variety of wildlife. But the Owl nest box project is a particular favourite. This was introduced to increase the number of barn owls in the area because they were at risk due to intensification of farming methods and loss of habitat. The project provides nesting boxes, maintains the surrounding land and monitors breeding progress. The photograph was taken in June last year. On average a breeding pair of barn owls will produce two to four young

per season but last year the warm Spring brought about an early start and the five barn owls in the picture were part of a brood of six reared in a nesting box near Kedington. Neil explained that the surrounding area of rough grassland is maintained as an ideal habitat for small mammals, which for barn owls is like having a dining table laid out in front of their front door. It was pure chance that the young owls were sitting nicely together when Neil went to check on the nesting box. He had just arrived and knowing that barn owls are shy creatures he grabbed the opportunity and the photo was taken from the window of his vehicle 30m away, hand held with a manual focus on a windy day! For those keen photographers among you, the photo (1/250sc at f/5.6) was taken with a Sony Alpha 350 digital SLR camera with a 75-300mm zoom lens, which Neil recommends as a good general camera for wildlife photography. It was bought with a legacy from

his father who was a great countryman and who would have been thrilled to see this photograph. That evening Neil returned to watch the breeding pair hunting, bringing back food for the brood and encouraging them to hunt for themselves. The barn owls silent flight is due to the structure of the wing feathers, which are themselves not heavily oiled like many other birds. Although they seem to have large eyes, they rely on their hearing for hunting and the distinctive facial discs are there to focus sound. The same pair of owls went on to have another brood last year of which three survived. Overall in the Stour Valley area last year thirty eight young owls were successfully reared making a valuable contribution to the survival of this beautiful creature. Neil should be thanked for giving us this glimpse into just one aspect of the work of this worthwhile project. The Aldham Village Hall

Re-build Fundraising Update

Our fundraising is gaining pace again now that the new year is here. Since the Christmas break we have raised a total of £503.00 which brings our total to date to £32,207.00. An amazing amount of money, which will continue to grow as all the events planned for this year take place. Raised so far Our Rummage Sales remain ever popular as do the regular Table Top Sales held in the village hall. Spaces for the latter are always at a premium, so do book early for the April and May sales, which will be on the 14th and 12th respectively. We also have a Fashion Show planned for the 1st May - another very popular event, at which many items can be purchased off the peg, at well below store prices. All our events can be viewed on the "What's on Page". Another update on our progress will appear in the next issue of the Connection. We have many and varied events planned for the summer months, with the table top sales starting again in September, so please watch this space for regular updates on our progress.
