Begin by developing a generative design research presentation of the Coffee Lab in San Francisco, CA. After that, designing a Food Lab based on the food in the assigned context. The components of feature design will be made out the waste materials from the assigned location. The final outcome should present both the signature characteristic of location and the uniqueness of the feature design.
SOLUTIONS:
The Mountain Coffee Lab design is inspired by natural and recycle idea. The design reflects the organic form of mountain which is angular and complex perspective. In additional, it also represented for the geography of San Francisco mountain, sea, and forest. In addition with the evolution from grounded coffee, the idea of using Dahlia - the official flower of San Francisco - to cooperate the material color and feature geography. Therefore, in the Mountain Coffee Lab, customers are not only able to enjoy the unique coffee taste from the lab invention, but also be closer with nature through the interior design.
PROPOSAL:
Sitting at the cáfe area, customers are surrounded by the mountain like wall featuring the volcanic mountain range. The chair are to designed to imitate the color and shape of the mountain rocks. The steel rodes wall imitating the crossing branches of the mountain forest provide structure support and safety for the mountain trail inspired rock ladder. Together the cafe area offer a full outdoor experience of San Francisco city. To meet the initial requirement of providing a meeting area, the Meeting Valley was created. Meeting Valley is located at the center of the coffee where it can be seen easily, while the hollow design provide just enough privacy for the customers.
