air Lounge Academy was born out of a desire to empower people with the skills; tools and inspiration they needed to look after their natural Afro Caribbean and mixed heritage hair. It was felt that a growing number of women where choosing to not relax their hair but where not completely sure of the next step to take once that decision had been made. Our focus was and is to help them on this journey and for those who are already natural to given them new inspiration. To this end we offer short taster sessions in topics such as Updo’s for special occasions, styling and maintaining natural hair and transitioning from
chemical to natural hair this sessions just last for a few hours, however we do also offer courses that are more in depth and teach people amongst other things to cornrow, braid and twist and even becoming a loctician. We also offer accredited and non-accredited barbering courses with a special focus on Afro Caribbean and mixed heritage hair.
