Easing the Stress of Buying & Selling By Tiffany Holcomb
D
ina James, of ReMax Traditions primarily focuses on residential properties in and around Mead, Firestone and Frederick, going as far North as Greeley/Ft. Collins and South to Parker. Growing up and raising her two grown daughters in the area has embedded Dina in the community. As past president of the Mead Area Chamber of Commerce and writing, publishing and distributing her newsletter, the Mead Beat each month, Dina is deep-seated in the area. The Mead Beat provides information on the local real estate market, sales, upcoming community events, local trivia,
and ads for local small businesses. Dina strives to make sure that her clients and homeowners in the area are aware of changes in the market. Understanding how to best serve her clients is something that Dina, likely learned from her mother, Alice James who has been a real estate agent for over 35 years. Helping clients find a place to call home seems to be a family calling. Dina’s client, Jenni S. says, “Dina James was our realtor for the sale of our last home and the purchase of our existing home. Dina was there every step of the way! She helped us identify ways to make our home more marketable and she put time and energy into figuring out a proper listing price. She
sold our home quickly and with ease. One thing we especially appreciated about Dina was her ability to bring us back down to reality when handling negotiations both on the buying and the selling end. Moving your family and buying a new home is very personal business and Dina was a great buffer for us! Dina is very thoughtful and has an outgoing personality that is a huge asset!” Dina is an exceptional woman, who was President of the League of Utah Writers in 2003 and wrote a suspense novel, Forged Fears, while living there. When Dina is not assisting clients, attending community events or volunteering she enjoys playing ice hockey.
ReMax Traditions is located at 2204 18th Ave, Longmont, to see local listings visit www. ListingByDina.com, call 303.709.7814 or email Dina directly at Dina@ListingsByDina.com.
Using Chinese Medicine to Achieve Amazing Health There was a need in Longmont for a high-quality, full-service acupuncture and Chinese Medicine center. That prompted owners and husband-and-wife team, J. Hadyn Peacock, L.Ac., and Christine Dominick-Peacock, MBA, to establish a presence in the place they’ve called home since 2005.
Integrated Chinese Medicine Close to Home “We found a lot of people from Longmont were going to Boulder for acupuncture,” says Dominick. “But why travel all that way when we could provide
great quality, integrated acupuncture and Chinese Medicine right here?” Since 2011, The Chinese Medicine Clinic has provided nearly 8,000 treatments to residents. With over 30 years combined experience, the clinic’s practitioners offer the only center in Longmont with truly integrated Chinese Medicine. This includes acupuncture, Chinese herbs, Chinese nutritional therapy, Tai Chi and Qigong instruction, and Medical Qigong. “The vast majority of our clients don’t get just acupuncture when they come here,” Peacock says. “A combination of services often impacts our clients’ health more profoundly than acupuncture alone.

The Consumer Report of Mead—Bringing Residents Information About Area Businesses
Vol. 3, Issue 6
A LETTER FROM MAYOR GARY SHIELDS Citizen Input Via Survey Important Dear Residents, Wow! It is hard to believe that it is already August. Where did the summer go? I hope that you have all had the chance to take a vacation or get-a-way to a special summer place with the family. In just a few short weeks the kids will be returning to school and for many, your lives will take on a new pace in keeping up with all of the school year and extra-curricular activities. I am sure by now that you are all aware of the Farmer’s Market that is held at the Town Hall Park each Sunday from noon to 4 pm. If you have not yet had a chance to attend, you will not want to miss out as local produce comes to market. There is plenty to experience
for all ages and family fun in encouraged. Now that the trail between Welker and Adams has been repaired it should remain open. There will be some minor additional work to be done at the driveways of the Guardian Angels Church and the Encana site just south of the church. If additional closures are needed to make these improvements they will be very short term. The repairs that were made to the trail last month were in order to be ADA compliant as the slope was in excess of the allowed tolerances. In the coming weeks you should see the Welker Avenue road project take shape and start to look like a road again. The original completion date was to be prior to the first day of school and that is still the goal however, weather delays have made for a very tight schedule and I know that the crews are working
diligently to stay on time. Your continued patience is appreciated. In development news, I wanted to let you know that I have been working with town staff to identify value added commercial development that will enhance our community and help to provide for the long-term sustainability of the town. We have had some minor successes in the past months and I am hopeful to have definitive news to share with you in the near future. For now, I have asked staff to assemble a survey that is available on the town’s website. Your input is a very important part of the process so please visit the site and take the survey. Sincerely,

While working as a New Holland store manager in Burlington, Buddy Truedell was presented with an opportunity to return home to the Greeley area in a business he was already well versed in. In 1988 he purchased a New Holland dealership. Since then, B & G Equipment has expanded from one location to three locations (Greeley, Longmont and Fort Collins). With 28 years in the industry, B & G firmly believes that a huge part of the success of the company is getting to know and serving local customers and gaining a rapport with them. Having the ability to live along the Front Range, hire local staff members, interact with customers and the local community is one of the best perks they could have asked for, however they have found that customers are traveling from Wyoming which is a true testament to B & G and their reputation. Buddy and Gretchen Truesdell are hands on and community driven. Together, they run the day to day operations of

Obituaries
Eva Marie Duckworth, 86 years of age, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 15, 2015. Eva was born on January 15, 1929, in Carthage, Missouri, to Harry and Nellie Heisten. She was the second child in a wonderful family of five siblings including Fred, Pauline, Noveta and Joy. After graduating from high school, through a simple letter from a U.S. Marine brother of her girlfriend, who had seen her through the window of the dress shop where she worked, a love blossomed that would last her lifetime. Eva and that U.S. Marine, Bob Duckworth, were married on September 17, 1955. Married for nearly 60 years, Eva and Bob raised their 2 dear children, David and Diane. Possessing a true servant’s heart, Eva generously cared for her family and friends in many ways, throughout her life. A woman of great faith, she was the heart of the Duckworth family. With her zest for life, ease of conversation, and her beautiful smile, Eva loved to cook, bake, play games, travel, and cheer on the Colorado Rockies and Denver Broncos. Nothing brought her more joy than time with her family and friends around the dinner table. She will be deeply missed by her many friends and family.
