Frederick Woman Receives Emotional/Financial Support Via Local Art Event for Cancer

hen Stephanie Morgan, of Frederick, Colo., was diagnosed with stage IV breast cancer, her friend, Rolinda Stotts, of Erie, wanted to do something beyond praying and sending hope. Rolinda visited a friend’s orchid nursery and selected an orchid for Stephanie, hoping that as the blooms opened they would bring hope to Stephanie throughout her rounds of chemotherapy and treatments. The orchid gift inspired Rolinda – whose unique style of Bella Rotta oil paintings are featured in private and public collections around the world – to begin painting orchids. As her gallery grew, so did the collection of orchid stories that others were inspired to share. Rolinda then brought the paintings

T
homas Maggio can now walk without a cane, for a short time, as he learns to use his prosthetic leg. He has significant pain which dictates how long and how often he can work and wear the leg. He looks forward to when the pain becomes minimal. He says, “I hope the community understands I am working as hard as I can. John, my new service manager is really helping out. He is retired U.S. Army, and everyone says he is great to work with.
We have a solid team here at Hands On Auto Tech, with two techs and my service manager, so I am able to step away and get that time I need to heal.” His kids are very comfortable with the loss of his leg and the new life style. “Sometimes they will pick on me, or play with my wheel chair,” he says. “But they help me when I need it. Laura remains strong and says she sees a positive change in me after the accident and she likes that.”
To support this family and his business, please visit Hands On Auto Tech at 1566 Vista View Dr. Unit C, Longmont, CO 80504 or call 720.340.4024. See the flyer on page 5 for his annual event.
