Mead Veterans Flag Dedication

The Mead Veterans Flag Dedication Ceremony was held at the Mead Ponds on Welker Ave. The Mead Rotary Club, Rotary District 5450, CPS & Sons, the Mead Community Foundation and the Town of Mead jointly funded the project. With the assistance of the Longmont American Legion Post 32, the flags of the five branches of service were raised along with the Colorado and US flags against the background of the Pledge of Allegiance, the American Legion bugler and a seven member gun salute honor guard on a beautiful Colorado day. Pictures (go page M4) were taken by Dan Dean, Mead Town Manager.

EmbroidMe in Mead

On December 1, EmbroidMe will be closing the storefront in Longmont. This move has been planned for over a year after it became clear that many of their larger clients simply ordered over the phone. The overhead to maintain a retail storefront simply no longer made sense. The new company is called the Rosneck Promotion Agency http://www.rosneckpromo. com and will be operated out of the owner, Mark Rosneck's home for the time being. With all the same equipment and capabilities. Mark has also been asked to do consulting for some of his clients but has been hesitant since he had the storefront to run. This move allows him to take on promotional product consulting engagements for tradeshows and so forth. If you have questions, please give Mark a call. Wanting to get out of the house and meet more people, Debra started her first home based business as an Avon Consultant. Many of her Avon clientele order online but Debra still enjoys offering personal service to other long-time customers from the Mead and Longmont areas. Many of them have been with her from the beginning. Over the years, Avon has changed a lot. They don’t just sell beauty products anymore but also children’s and adult clothing, fragrances, jewelry and house wares! While working on her Avon business Debra was drawn back into the school district as a substitute for the St. Vrain school district. She serves as a clerical sub at school sites and in the district office. And if that wasn’t enough she was appointed to the Planning Commission for the town of Mead in 2009. Then in 2011, she ran for Town trustee for the town of Mead and won one of the positions. She is also very active with the Mead Chamber of Commerce. Then in January 2013, she wanted to expand her online business ventures so she started consulting for two additional companies; Thirty-One Gifts and Simply Said Designs. These types of businesses have enabled Debra to put into practice her motto for life. She says, “I try to live life to the fullest and have learned that it doesn’t matter where you make your home….you will find wonderful and caring people in your community!! You just have to reach out and get to know them!” Thirty-One Gifts sell exclusive, on-trend, stylish and practical handbags, fashion accessories, totes, and organizing solutions with or without personalization. Their mission is to Celebrate, Encourage and Reward women. Cindy Monroe created the company to provide an opportunity for women to achieve financial freedom, find personal fulfillment and realize their dreams through becoming successful business owners. Debra loves to decorate and construct her own creations and Simply Said Designs offered everything she needed. She realized she could help others through her business. Her clients include businesses and individuals. Debra enjoys helping them feel great about what they create for themselves. You can use Simply
