How would a client know they need treatment? We all have quirks and foibles, we may have thoughts, feelings or behaviours that we would like to stop/start but can’t seem to manage on our own. When our inability to make these changes has a serious impact on the quality of our lives it’s time to seek help. I have clients referred by GPs, also other healthcare providers. I see clients in Winchester Street opposite the Acton Old Town Hall and in Chiswick Business Park.
Hypnotherapy helps Nichola Schwarz of London Life Solutions is our opening presenter at the Acton Business Expo on Thursday. In this Q&A she explains how she uses a combination of therapies to solve her clients’ problems. You use hypnotherapy, neuro linguistic programming (NLP) and emotional freedom techniques (EFT) to solve people’s problems. How do these work together? Whilst the same techniques may be used with different clients, it’s essential that each session is personalised and designed specifically for that client. I find that hypnotherapy and NLP are particularly useful for building confidence, self belief and motivation. They are also incredibly effective for behaviour change: for issues like addiction,

weight loss, insomnia and habits. EFT is excellent for dealing with the results of trauma and unhelpful beliefs developed as a result of past negative experiences such as bereavement or assault. Typically I would combine all three therapies to differing degrees. For example using hypnotherapy and NLP to help the client stop an addictive behaviour, and then using EFT to understand and resolve the root cause of their need to seek comfort in that addictive behaviour in the first place.

You’ll be presenting the opening event at the Acton Business Expo on Thursday – what can participants expect? As a proud Acton resident of 20 years, and an Acton business owner for 13 years I’m delighted to be presenting the opening event at the Acton Business Expo. I will be covering how attendees can create value for each other, how to prioritise their networking to build strategic connections, how to learn from each other, and simple ways to feel more confident talking business and connecting with valuable new local contacts. londonlifesolutions.com @NicholaSchwarz – Carlene Bender
