I am going to discuss 3 highly effective, yet simple techniques that you can use to improve your market research efforts. Using these techniques when conducting market research and adapting according to what you learn about your customers can dramatically increase your conversions and sales. You will be speaking to your audience’s fears, frustrations and desires. They will feel like you understand them like no one else does which will build trust, which then leads to more sales. The first technique we are going to talk about is… 1. Use Surveys Surveys are a great way to get valuable insights into what your market likes and doesn’t like. You can start leveraging the power of surveys by signing up over at surveymonkey.com and start creating your own surveys. You don’t need a huge number of completed surveys before it makes a difference. You can start getting very valuable information after as little as 10 to 20 people have completed your survey. You will see what makes your audience tick. You can then take that knowledge and create highly targeted marketing campaigns and products that speak to your specific target market. 2. Analyze Emails Analyzing emails from customers can be a great way of getting valuable information from your customers.

Pay special attention to what they are liking and disliking so that you can give them more of what they want and less of what they don’t want. Also try and make it a habit to answer your customers emails as quickly as possible. When you answer your customers emails quickly it shows that you really care and it goes a long way to developing lifelong customers. 3. Analyze Blog Comments Being aware of what people are saying in blog comments and acting accordingly will greatly increase your ability to create content that speaks directly to your audience. Asking your readers to leave comments and suggestions after blog posts is a great way to get them to open up about their problems and desires. You will get a lot more response when you ask for it then you will if you leave it to chance. Conclusion Most business owners and bloggers do little to no market research so if you start studying your readers wants and needs even just a little bit then you will be far ahead of your competition. You will know exactly what your customers want and why. You will then be able to effortlessly give them what they want instead of creating lots of content that doesn’t even speak to them and once in a while hitting a home run. You want to be swinging for the fences with every piece of content that you put out and indepth market research is one of the best things you can do in order to make that happen. Got any other market research ideas? If so, then share them in the comments below.
