WHAT WE DO
DISASTER SERVICES
HOPE IN EVERY STORM®
Convoy of Hope’s Disaster Services team is consistently among the first to respond to disasters at home and around the world. This team is highly regarded for its scalable response and distribution model, which utilizes several warehouses, a specialized disaster response fleet, and a highly trained team of staff and volunteers to respond to disasters quickly and effectively.
As a faith-based, international humanitarianrelief organization, our goal is to bring hope to those who need it most.
CHILDREN’S FEEDING
HOPE BEGINS WITH A MEAL
Convoy of Hope wants to see lives changed — free from poverty and hunger — through Children’s Feeding. A nutritious meal opens doors to provide children and their families with education, clean water, job and agricultural training, and a sense of hope.
AGRICULTURE
HOPE IN EVERY HARVEST
Food security transforms communities by lifting people out of dependence for their daily sustenance. Through Convoy of Hope’s Agriculture program, vulnerable farmers and families are equipped with skills, tools, and seeds to produce life-sustaining crops. Tens of thousands of meals are harvested each year, some of which are used to support Convoy’s Children’s Feeding program — simultaneously generating income for local farmers.
COMMUNITY EVENTS HOPE STARTS HERE
At Community Events, Convoy provides free groceries, health services, haircuts, family portraits, job services, veterans services, a Kids’ Zone, a hot meal, new children’s shoes, and much more to those who may not have the means to acquire these things themselves. These events strengthen communities by meeting the immediate needs of local families and creating opportunities for future collaboration between local entities.
RURAL INITIATIVES WOMEN’S EMPOWERMENT
HOPE FOR EVERY WOMAN
When women are given the opportunity to generate income, it impacts their families and their country’s economic standing. Convoy partners with women to develop sustainable resources that they can leverage to make more strategic, independent life choices.
HOPE FOR RURAL COMMUNITIES
Poverty and hunger have gained a devastating edge in rural communities. Through Rural Initiatives, Convoy resources, empowers, and partners with rural churches through training, mentoring, and coaching. Convoy believes that increased presence and partnership with local leaders will help strengthen and enrich entire neighborhoods and towns.
C H I L D R E N ' S FEEDING HOPE BEGINS WITH A MEAL
Feed the world, and they’ll keep changing it. Kids are the joy of every community. Together, you and Convoy of Hope are strategically investing at a critical time in their lives. By feeding children in schools, kids are getting the nutrition they need.
OUR APPROACH NUTRITIOUS MEALS
Many of the children engaged in the feeding program receive their only meal of the day from Convoy of Hope. That reality fuels Convoy’s commitment to addressing the problems of hunger and poverty simultaneously. Providing children with nutritious meals at their schools starts with building customized plans for every neighborhood, city, and country where Convoy works. BETTER ACCESS TO CLEAN & SAFE WATER
Water is life. Without access to it, communities cannot thrive. Whether it’s through digging a well or setting up a filtration system, Convoy of Hope is committed to doing what is necessary to get clean water to those who lack access to it. HEALTHY LIVING ENVIRONMENTS
The strategy for Children’s Feeding starts with a meal, but food is only part of the solution. Convoy of Hope partners with communities to develop healthy environments, provide training, and evaluate infrastructure needs. We create healthy living environments by teaching appropriate sanitation practices, completing school rehabilitation projects, and showing locals how to build proper latrines.
CHILDREN ARE THE FUTURE
Convoy of Hope wants to see lives changed — free from poverty and hunger — through Children’s Feeding. A nutritious meal opens doors to provide children and their families with education, clean water, job and agricultural training, and a sense of hope.

DISASTER SERVICES
Hope in Every Storm®
When you link arms with Convoy of Hope after a disaster, hurting people receive the help and strength they need to get back on their feet. Convoy is committed to helping as much as possible, for as long as possible.
OUR APPROACH PREPAREDNESS
Partners and volunteers around the world are equipped with preparedness and resilience training on a regular basis. Convoy of Hope works to equip each individual with the wisdom and skills they need to respond to a disaster and to help their communities become more prepared before they experience one. MONITORING
Convoy of Hope’s team constantly monitors developing weather and natural disaster events, as well as the ever-changing climate of conflict and economic situations. By staying up to date and utilizing on-the-ground connections with partners, Convoy gains a better understanding of the realities in affected areas and can respond quickly. RESPONSE
Response efforts vary depending on the nature of a disaster. Convoy works with national, state, and local partners to equip teams and volunteers with the information they need in order to provide immediate assistance. Often, that takes the form of distributing relief supplies, such as food, clean water, and hygiene kits. RECOVERY
Assisting families and communities in returning to self-sustainability after a disaster is the goal. To do that, teams utilize various initiatives, including organizing volunteers in debris removal and clean up, distribution of building materials, income generation projects, agricultural training, and assisting in the rebuilding process. Convoy continues to work for months — sometimes even years — to bring relief to those who are suffering.

The best solutions are grown at home. Convoy’s agriculture specialists teach production methods that encourage long-term sustainable practices. With improved practices and larger yields, farmers are often able to give back to Convoy’s strategic feeding programs.
OUR APPROACH ASSESSMENT
We use the best tools available to assess the local culture, context of living environments, and economic situation of the local community to really understand people’s food security needs. EDUCATION
We strive to take the best science to farmers through curriculum, workshops, and advice from local agronomists and technicians. As we make agronomy education available, we also increase the information flow to the community at large. IMPLEMENTATION
We strive to assist farmers in implementing the best practices for both pilot and large-scale projects.
