Freezers Of Love Made for 2 Beef Bourguignon

Coq au Vin

Some things are just made for two, like a Morgan sportscar, a tandem, or Pork Dijon. And while you won’t find the first two in a COOK shop in February (although you might just get lucky and win a tandem – see below), there’s guaranteed to be plenty of the latter snuggled alongside some of our other favourite meals made for two in our Freezers Of Love. Add a side dish and a pud and Valentine’s dinner is a doddle – leaving you more time to concentrate on your better half. (And if you really couldn’t give two hoots for a day named after an obscure 14th century saint, then luckily all our favourites also come in portions made for one.)

To feed 2 or more hungry little monsters, take one of our COOK for Kids sauces and just add rice, pasta, potatoes or anything else your kids like. It means you can rustle up a nutritionally-balanced meal in minutes, made just like you would at home. And at just £3.50 to feed 2, they’re great value. Something Yummy For Mother’s Day Look out for our special edition White Chocolate & Raspberry Cheesecake, appearing in store soon. For every one sold £1 goes to CLIC Sargent, a brilliant charity providing care for children suffering from cancer and their families. In the week before Mother’s Day (March 18), CLIC Sargent runs national Yummy Mummy Week, encouraging mums to hold coffee mornings, tea parties, cake sales or any other type of fundraising event. If you’re planning to do something yummy this year, get in touch and we’ll see if we can help out. To find out more go to

Did you know...?

In the beginning we were called

Cakes and Casseroles!

Your Local COOK Shop:

Happy Valentine's Eating out on Valentine’s Day is vastly overrated. By squeezing in as many couples as possible, many restaurants end up looking like an exam hall with regimented rows of tables for two. The “special” menus are generally anything but and there’s always the prospect of someone at a neighbouring table dropping to one knee and making a proposal – leaving one’s own efforts at romantic smalltalk seem rather drab. Luckily, Valentine’s Day is also my birthday which means I have an automatic opt-out when it comes to restaurants. Instead, it’s all about me, me, me and my wife hardly gets a look in. “Poor her” you may be thinking, and you’d be right – but at least she’s spared my attempt at a romantic night out. Assuming you’re not born on February 14th and are planning a nod in the direction of St Valentine, I’ll leave you with a thought: when was the last time you went to a restaurant and knew the name of the chef who cooked your meal? Much better to snuggle up at home with something tasty we’ve cooked for you – just check the label to discover the name of your personal chef. Happy Birthday (Co-founder) PS: Dale, our other co-founder, is currently experimenting with speed dating, so we are ignoring any views he may have on romance.

Our Difference

At COOK we make remarkable food for your freezer, prepared by hand at our Kitchen in Kent using the same ingredients and techniques you would at home. It means our food looks and tastes homemade (maybe even a bit better). And on every COOK dish you’ll find the name of the chef who prepared your food.
