FOGGY MOUNTAIN TOOL By Kennesaw Tailor
O
On a Monday afternoon, back when I owned an equipment rental business, I delivered a skid steer to a job site on top of a mountain. I parked at the bottom, on level ground and 28 | January - February 2020
I reached the top, turned around, found a then drove the skid steer up a mile of steep, straight place, set the brake, put the truck in gravel road to the top. This proves I’m smartreverse, got out and placed blocks in front of enough to survive, the return trip proved the I tires. Everyone at the job site was paying was stupid enough to die. I had a tilt trailer;attention; they could see the fool in me. in itself on level ground it was just about too steep to load. As with many mountain folk, being starved
for entertainment, the neighbors stopped When I returned on Friday to pick it up, what I they were doing to watch. I got on the stopped on level ground and contemplatedskid steer and drove it onto the tilted trailer the mile walk. I convinced myself that if with I less trouble than usual. I smiled, smugwent to the top, turned around and point-ly as I walked past the workers. ed the trailer down the road, it would be level, once it was tilted, genius really. If itWhen I tilted the trailer down, I had my don’t look good on Monday, it ain’t good onfirst indication there might be a problem. Friday, no matter how ready you are to goAs soon as the tail left the gravel, the whole home. I hit the mountain pouring the coalset up started to creep downhill, gravity is a to that old dually truck. I was spinning andS.O.B. Letting the trailer back down to the slingin’ gravel as I climbed, this being a clearroad slowed its movement, but didn’t stop indication I was making a mistake.
“AS WITH MANY MOUNTAIN FOLK, BEING STARVED FOR ENTERTAINMENT, THE NEIGHBORS STOPPED WHAT THEY WERE DOING TO WATCH.” it. I acted calmly as $70.000 worth of stuff inched toward a three-hundred-foot cliff. It’s funny how the mind works. In front of all those people, I calmly decided, if I got back into the machine and backed it from the trailer, the truck would stop. I climbed onto a moving trailer and scrambled back into the machine. In no world is it a good idea to climb onto a trailer, into a machine, that is only half loaded and not tied down. Doing it while the whole contraption is moving about 10 miles an hour already and thinking seriously about careening, wildly down a mountain road, out of control, is the epitome of stupidity. This is exactly what insurance is for, just in case you don’t know. I pulled the safety bar down and reached for the key, it wasn’t in the ignition. I thought about going for the key in my pocket, but we were gaining speed and my mind would not allow my rear end to sit in the seat another second. I
jumped from the trailer deciding to let the whole mess go wherever it was destined to go, without me. Once I stood back up I realized the truck was still moving relatively slowly and I might still save it. The levels of stupidity the brain are capable of, amaze me. I chased the truck, caught it and climbed inside. The neighbors stood in their yard and cheered as I passed, with beers in hand. Applying the brakes only sped up the process. I really needed to exit the truck at that point, but a cliff I’d just barely missed didn’t allow for it. To my horror I understood, the only way to gain control was to start the truck, put it in third gear and power it out of the uncontrollable situation it was in. Once I mashed in the clutch, I would be committed. I should have been committed already. Working quickly, I started the truck, moved
from reverse to third, popped the clutch and stomped the gas to gain control. There was no room for mistakes and I made none. I barely held the truck for the next several tight turns, in fact from my viewpoint it appeared I didn’t control it. After a few more tense moments and a few more insane twists, I arrived at the bottom of the hill. Climbing from the truck my knees were shaking, but I calmly waved at the people up the mountain who were cheering and waving at me. I tied the machine down as the crew started arriving, patting my back and telling me that was the finest driving they had ever seen. I nodded and smile, but said nothing as my mouth; my rear end and my brain were locked down for several hours. I don’t know about you, but I never want to meet God with stupid stamped on my forehead. I came pretty close that day. MANCAVE PLAYBABES EDITION

Photography CAMERA FOR BEGINNERS
W
While it can seem fairly straightforward, choosing a camera if you are a beginner can be somewhat difficult. Thinking about the question and reviewing different cameras may help as a beginner photographer gets started. A beginner camera should be easy to use, carry, and reliable. So what should you choose? 46 | January - February 2020
It is no secret that with today’s smartphone, cameras are evolving at an amazing rate. These little gadgets keep taking better and better photos and is getting more and more people involved in photography.
just getting started. So, what type of camera is best for a beginner? Here are a few choices to consider.
But for someone who wants more performance, there are many different types of cameras to get started in the world of photography.
Whether it is the best choice or not, the digital single-lens reflex camera or DSLR for short is usually the default for beginner photographers.
Before getting started, it is crucial to remember that just about every single camera, even the most expensive, most complex models, have automatic modes that make it much easier for any beginner to achieve great shots.
This camera is what most people think of when they think of photography and stepping into a dedicated camera made for great photos, and for good reason.
With these modes, you do not need to know all of the exact details and technical aspects behind exposure, the aperture, shutter speed, and ISO. Learning these things can and will improve your photography as you progress, but do not be intimidated by them if you are
The DSLR
This type of camera is the choice of many rookie and pro photographers alike and is great for its image quality, flexibility, and its ability to grow with its user. The downside to DSLRs are usually their complexity (which can intimidate new users) and their size and weight.
IT IS NO SECRET THAT WITH TODAY’S SMARTPHONE, CAMERAS ARE EVOLVING AT AN AMAZING RATE.
Mirrorless Cameras
Bridge Cameras
The technology found in mirrorless cameras is not new, but digital mirrorless interchangeable lens cameras are becoming more and more popular every year. The technology is very quickly evolving to where many professionals are starting to convert entirely to mirrorless over their regular DSLRs. The main difference between the two is the lack of a mirror that reflects the captured image through a lens. Mirrorless cameras do not include any mirrors, and the camera shows an image electronically either on the screen or through a viewfinder, so you do not have to look through a lens optically. This means mirrorless cameras are usually much smaller and lighter weight, making them easier to carry and handle while not forfeiting any of the benefits of a regular DSLR. One of the disadvantages of this added technology is that mirrorless cameras can (although not always) be more expensive.
Bridge cameras are basically point and shoot cameras with noninterchangeable lenses that are bigger than regular point and shoot cameras but have a larger, expansive zoom lens and takes higher quality photos. Like a DSLR or even a mirrorless camera, they feature many different controls and a wide variety of settings that allow a beginner to shoot with an automatic mode or a manual mode and offer a lot of flexibility.
and advanced mirrorless cameras, while beginners would probably benefit more from an entry-level DSLR or bridge camera.
Which Camera is Best for Me?
Personally, I would suggest bridge cameras to beginners who do not necessarily care about or want to change lenses. These will give you quality images without needing to get technical and have the easiest user-friendly layouts. For those wanting something a little more quality, an entry-level DSLR would be a great choice. Think about what you will be using your camera for and what your budget is and choose accordingly!
Before buying any camera, there are many different things you have to consider. Budget is a major factor in what type of camera you will buy, but you should also consider your personal needs, wants, and uses. Think about what is important to you in a camera and how you plan on using it. More advanced photographers may want the more technical
In conclusion, there are a few different types of cameras to get started into more professional photography, and many different models and price points to consider. All of these should be taken into consideration before buying a camera, but with so many options you will be able to find the perfect camera to fit your needs and wants! MANCAVE PLAYBABES EDITION

WILL HAMILTON TIE UP THE GRAND PRIX THIS WEEKEND IN MEXICO?
H
eading into this weekend, Lewis Hamilton still sits top of the tree in the Formula One Drivers’ Championship. The Brit currently sits on 338 points, 64 ahead of his teammate and rival Valtteri Bottas on 274. 74 | January - February 2020
Hamilton has nine wins so far this season, with Bottas being his closest rival again in that respect on just three. Leclerc of Ferrari is currently third in the Championship on 221 points, with Verstappen of Red Bull on 212 points.
There are just four races left this season, meaning that Hamilton is closing in on his sixth World Championship and he has the chance to secure the victory as early as this weekend. The Mexican Grand Prix is the nest stop on the calendar, followed by the United States Grand Prix, the Brazilian Grand Prix, and finally the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix on December 1. In order to secure title number six, Hamilton must simply finish 14 points above his teammate Bottas in the race. However, Mercedes are not confident that Mexico will prove to be kind to their car this year. The Mercedes team boss, Toto Wolff, has claimed that they expect Mexico to be the most difficult of the four remaining races as they do not think the
It’s a combination that doesn’t particularly suit our car, but we will give it everything to try and limit the damage.” Hamilton has secured his last two Championship titles in the Mexico Grand Prix, but he does not expect to be able to repeat this achievement in 2019. The British racer admits that he thinks Ferrari will dominate in Mexico due to their superior straight line speed.
conditions will suit their car. However, in terms of the Championship, Hamilton will only be racing against his teammate in the same vehicle, so the Brit will still be relishing the challenge.
Hamilton said: “Mexico is generally our worst race of the year because of the way our car is set up and it’s going to be a tough one for us. The last few have been pretty shocking, even though we’ve won the title there. “I’m hoping for a better weekend but I think it’s going to be very hard to beat the Ferraris with those long straights.
“HAMILTON HAS NINE WINS SO FAR THIS SEASON, WITH BOTTAS BEING HIS CLOSEST RIVAL AGAIN IN THAT RESPECT ON JUST THREE.” “We have no hope of getting by on those straights, that’s for sure, but even if you look at the others, the McLarens are picking up some serious speeds on the straights, so are the Red Bulls so I think it will be a tricky one. “I don’t anticipate it will be Mexico. I think we will be battling for a good few races.”
Mercedes already secured a dominant win in the Driver’s Championship back in Japan, their sixth victory in this respect. It will also be six Championship doubles in a row this season, as the Drivers’ Championship is guaranteed to go to a Mercedes driver. Toto Wolff said: “The four remaining races are not going to be easy and we expect Mexico to be the most difficult. The high altitude of the track brings some fairly unusual challenges as the low air density affects the downforce of the car, the cooling and the engine performance. MANCAVE PLAYBABES EDITION

I consider myself a proactive, reactive person with a mixture of perseverance and philosophical sweet madness. Monica is an Spanish girl who lives in Barcelona, in my 30s and a few years old I have practically dedicated my life to the performing arts, to enhance my creativity before people (my work is erotic dance, live stripshow and also military profession). I think that physical communication is in line with mental communication, projecting the best of my style with the elegance of my body in motion and my intelligence in showing it.
INTERVIEW MONICA 80 | January - February 2020
I may seem like a strong person but at the same time I am the SWEETEST person that steps on Barcelona ..... and I think Spain too ..... (itchy smile) 1. How would you describe yourself in your professional and personal life? Personally, I’m very curious, observant, decisive, spontaneous, sweet, a treasure inside a chest waiting to be opened. Professionally I´m a daily apprentice, I learn from my audience in each performance, I am delivered to the camera when he observes me.
10. Your most repeated dreams, your ideals? Having more time to travel with my daughter and especially see the Northern Lights together, I wish 11. free time and dedication I love reading, I like to stop to think about the meaning of each phrase that I have in front of the book, I like to go out for a glass of white wine in good company .... many things and little time 12. Any model you would like to pose with? The model that I can have and feel complicity with me at all times, with which it makes me feel that we both form one, a perfect figure 13. Daring / passionate / moderate? I consider myself a daring with moderation, I like to give myself but with stability, feel so that they feel, I am passionate when I feel that they offer me passion. I’m crazy in love with the most intense feelings 2. When modeling began to interest you and how were your experiences The moment I knew that art was reflected in an image, in an idea of a well-coordinated mind 3. Anecdotes in your sessions I remember a curious one in which I had to run quickly to buy paint cans for my body for a photo project and then not be able to take it off in 3 days (LOL), I had to shower 6 times in a row, since that day I hate black paint . 4. Someone who inspires you Actually it is not “someone” but “everything”, the music makes me crazy about my stripshows and the camera of my photographer. 5. Your favorite foods / drinks A good white wine very very cold and fruity..I can eat and be fortunate to be able to do it without restrictions, my physicist al-
lows it, I am very happy to taste everything anywhere in the world without forbidding anything. 6. A photographic style in which you feel more comfortable / uncomfortable Rather I feel comfortable without clothes, I do not like to feel the touch of clothes while I move, I prefer lingerie and small robes that are more comfortable 7. Good / bad experiences in modeling? 80% good 20% bad, not everyone is professional as it seems, there are a lot of bad people hiding pretending to be a photographer and it’s just a small repressed vouyeur. 8. Color ? Blue
4. Changing room for an expected date? Depending on where the appointment is, it can be normal and wear my jeans and be very happy. In the case that it is an elegant place then I put the most intense thing that I have inside my closet, but not only on the outside, on the inside too ...... (smile) 15. Perfect man…… the man who is intelligently emotional, who knows how to read my gaze. now how to make me laugh, smile, enjoy every second just noticing your breathing next to me .... 16. Professional appointment / personal appointment / intimate appointment With my total confidence photographers, with someone who will give me positivity in my life and with whom it makes me feel alive at all times
9. A place to live / get lost
17. An expression with which you would identify…
There are many places to visit, discover, live, feel and above all ..... smell

MALLORY Square Sunset Celebration Key West
By Kennesaw Taylor 100 | January - February 2020
There are many places to watch the sunset in the Keys, but Mallory Square is my favorite by far. The festival was established in the late nineteen sixties and begins about two hours before the sun slips into the sea. jugglers, clowns, artists and food vendors set up everywhere. The performers stagger their shows so that usually only one is performing at a time, allowing you to watch several shows before sunset. Of course, when each one finishes, they pass the hat. You don’t have to tip them, but as this is how they make their living, it would be nice if you did. While all this is going on, boats of all sizes and kinds and filled with tourists and locals are slipping out to sea to wait for the sun to set.
I
f you’re like me, taking pictures of where we visit is an important part of traveling and an important part of taking pictures is taking sunsets. Sometimes I must get into my truck and drive in the general direction of the sunset, looking for a good vantage point. Sometimes I find one and sometimes I don’t. If I’m lucky some local will share their favorite spot which makes it easier. Learn how to become comfortable talking to locals and your travels will become much more inter-
esting. Remember that in most cases they are dreaming of doing exactly what you are doing and find you very interesting indeed. THE JOKER REVIEW...
M
uch has been written about the release of the 2019 American psychological thriller, The Joker, which came out in October. The film, based on the comic-book villain from the world of Batman in the DC universe, portrays the effects of mental illness on a well-known character.
him to laugh at inappropriate times hinders Arthur’s pursuit in both a working and personal nature, as he relies on the social services for medication. The film looks at how poverty, crime, depression, loneliness, and a desire for power can effect a marginalised individual in a modern society obsessed with image and the media.
Although an infamous villain throughout DC history, the character of the Joker was brought to the forefront of pop culture in recent years after Heath Ledger delivered an iconic performance as the clown in The Dark Knight, opposite Christian Bale as Batman.
Many have claimed that the film is irresponsible to portray a character who kills people as a misunderstood man, especially after the cinema shootings that followed one of The Joker’s last big-screen appearances. However, I believe that this Todd Phillips picture is an extremely important piece of cinema, for that very same reason. The fact is that some people took the decision to dress up as The Joker and open fire inside cinemas across America.
This film concentrated on the relationship between the Joker and Batman, as well as the evil goings on within the former’s head as a Gotham crime boss. However, what made The Joker stand out to audiences was the fresh origin-style story, in which we get to see why The Joker is the way he is. Joaquin Phoenix stars as Arthur Fleck in the film and, whether you agree with the motives of the movie or not, he gives an outstanding performance. Many are already tipping him for an Oscar for his portrayal and I for one would be surprised if his name wasn’t up there once Oscar season comes around. Arthur Fleck is immediately shown as a face in the crowd within a Gotham City struggling with crime and poverty among the lower classes. Living with his mother, Arthur is determined to become a successful comedian in order to provide for her. However, a disorder that causes 124 | January - February 2020

Likewise, shooters break into schools to do the same thing each and every year across the country. These people exist in our society and it is important to acknowledge them and take a closer look into their behaviour and what can push a person to such actions. If you compare it to the trend of serial killer documentaries in recent years, no one complained that the Ted Bundy film might persuade someone to become a killer. The fact is that cinema portrays the good and the bad, and The Joker was unsettlingly detailed in its portrayal of how a person can slip from one side to the other. I would give the film five stars and rate it as a genre-defining must-see.
