We were gutted when Vards stopped playing for England after the 2018 World Cup – he could still do a job for The Three Lions now! But he wanted to focus on The Foxes, and it’s massively paying off! He’s used the extra time to work on different parts of his game, and you should start the year by pinpointing what aspects of your game you want to improve in 2020!

It might look like Vardy’s just a natural finisher, but he’s spent hours and hours on the training field practising his precise shooting! Training drills against real goalkeepers are the best way to improve, but you can also build accuracy by putting targets up in an open goal and aiming for the corners. Make sure you work on both feet!
