Getting the ball rolling Patricia, congratulations on a big 2019 and congrats on what is shaping up to be a big 2020 for you, too. What’s it like to have not one but two very prominent

recurring roles in ABC’s Stumptown and Station 19? It’s great to have started the year on a strong shows. Feel very blessed, a little chaotic though haha to be honest with you, a couple of times I would wake up at 4 am for a 5:30 am call time and I was like, “wait, I’m i going today for Stumptown or Station 19”.

Station 19 is a spinoff of Grey’s Anatomy and is in its third season. For the uninitiated who have yet to discover one of television’s better shows, how would you describe the show

and your character to them? The show for me and I believe for the audience as well not only how hard the profession of a fire fighter is and heavy responsibilities they have within their jobs but also that each one of them also have their own personal battles, struggles and challenges. Each episode leaves you with a very positive and humanized message, we all identify one way or another. My character Can talk too much about it but it will definitely will give a big twist to one of the characters in the series.

Stumptown is another exciting project that you’re involved with and it’s based off of a well- known comic book written by Greg Rucka. How close does

the show hew to the comic? Is it a pretty faithful adaptation? I believe they have done an amazing job to the comic. Cobie Smulders is incredibly talented and is doing such a great job so are the rest of the cast. They make it so fun to watch.

Since we’re on the subject, what are your thoughts on the huge popularity of film and television based

off of the comic book genre? I think is amazing really, I am personally more of a true story lover.

According to my notes, you’ve also just booked a guest spot on the very popular show NCIS: Los Angeles. Kudos for this too, but it brings us to a very big question: Where on earth do you find all of the time to juggle such a busy work schedule?

Hahahahaha the truth I sometimes do even know, but with a lot of help, as I have a very dedicated and caring team of manager and agents. This is every actors dream to stay busy, so when you get your chance, you take it all in and focus to give your best at everything. They say luck is when preparation meets the opportunity, and I’ve been preparing for a very long time.

Prior to acting you enjoyed a very successful career as a model. Was it a difficult transition going from that

world into the land of movies and television? They are completely different careers. The preparation, focus, patience and guts you required to be an actor are a must in order for you to be on a set. A model doesn’t need to stay studying or reading scripts every night to go an perform the next day. You just go and hope for the best.

What is it about acting in particular that excites you?

The fact that no other career allows you to use your emotions, create life experiences for different characters. One month, or one day you can be a doctor and safe A Life the other day you might be the mother of a daughter losing her life, or a lawyer that is trying to safe someone from going to jail. The amount of life experiences that you create or sometimes re create from your own life to give life to those characters.

You are a Latin actor who has achieved remarkable success in the mainstream Hollywood system. Can you talk a little bit about what that

journey has been like for you? I had to forced myself to learn about patience, that God ‘s timing is everything, to find always the positive out of negative situations and times, that everyone has their time and that there is a space for everyone, that everyone has a journey completely different, to be grateful for everything, to surround yourself with a strong support group with people that have the same goals in life, and that whatever we choose to do in life, that doing it with a human purpose to serve others with always be a successful venture and with a greater taste.

You’ve done a lot of film work as well as television. Which do you

prefer? Or is it all just apples and oranges? No no apples are apples and oranges well oranges are tropical and remind me of home. I love both but tV moves much faster, there is not much time, at the contrary than movies, you get to explore much more every detail of the character, to work with the director and scene partners and create it together, to play more, you also have more freedom.

Has your family been encouraging in all of your endeavors? Im the first in my family that is in the entertainment business. Been the daughter of a very traditional farmer, wasn’t easy as it was easy for my father to understand that this was my career. “If you are not a lawyer or a doctor, you are nothing”, those were his words and “Patricia, mija when are you going to get a real job” hahahah, hahaha sorry it’s just I look back just to remember and I find it funny. He finally understood, it wasn’t easy but he finally did. My mother on the other hand, was always supportive cause entertainment was her dream, but she didn’t have the resources to be in it. She is honestly my biggest Rock.

You’ve got several films in the pipeline due to be released in 2020. The first one is called Centurion XIIwith Billy Zane and Amber Midthunder.

Can you talk a little bit about the plot of the film and your role in it? Is a story based on the Gamble family (Procter and gamble)

It’s a family movie, super special to me, not only cause I adopted another family from the director, Dana Gonzales who really is one of the most passionate directors I’ve ever worked with, but Amber it was a real blessed to have played her mom, the chemistry that We created Billy and Amber It was just unique and special, and I’m sure it shows on screen as I haven’t seeing it yet. The message of the movie is amazing cause it talks about having of faith and love in your life can make miracles happened.

You are a spokesperson for a group that I deeply admire and respect, PETA. This group has attracted such talent as River Phoenix, Alicia Silverstone and Alexandra Burke. Can you tell us what being a part of

PETA means to you? Omg yayyy so happy to hear!!! Yayyy.. I mean belong to a strong family that works daily towards giving animals a voice. A family that is not afraid to do whatever it takes to fight against mistreatment of animals. I am proud to belong to that family.

Final (silly) Question Time: You’re stranded on a deserted island. While awaiting rescue you can only watch one film. Which film do you choose

to bring with you to the island and, most importantly, why? The Shack ...power of faith
