CSI’s GRPs: Leading to Greener Buildings (Carleton, Ecorse & Meyers Co-ops) February 2011

CSI Support & Development Services and your co-op are committed to a greener planet. Three CSI buildings—including yours—received almost $2.5million in grant money to become greener, more energy efficient, healthier homes for the people who live and work there. Going green and staying green involves and benefits everyone.
Some Things to Expect Carleton: Electrical work will be completed sometime in the middle of this month. Exterior caulking will be completed when the weather is warmer. Carpet installation will begin in late February/early March. Installation of new AC units will begin in the middle of this month. A change order is going in to HUD for some modifications on the make-up air handler (the common area fresh air system). Once approved, this can begin as early as late February. The new storm water system will be installed in the spring. The recycling centers will be installed in the late winter/early spring. Ecorse Manor: Work around the interior of the windows will be wrapping up early this month. Touch-up painting will begin by the middle of the month. Electrical work has begun and will wrap up by the end of February. Work on the air handlers will begin later
this month. Carpet installation will begin by early March. The recycling centers will be installed in the late winter/early spring. The new storm water system will be installed in the spring. Meyers Plaza: Electrical work will begin in late February. Installation of siding an windows continues. Work on the air handlers will begin later this month. Carpet installation will begin later this month or early March. Installation of insulation will wrap up later this month. Interior painting is wrapping up. The new storm water system will be installed in the spring. The recycling centers will be installed in the late winter/early spring.
