AFTER weeks of painting, the recently completed mural by This Bird artist, Tia Carrigan has been defaced.
Two youths were captured on security footage, tagging the mural on the wall of the Reserve Street business.
Tia has since fixed the mural, which is a colourful display of local birds with a nod to the Goddess Pomona.
Gas theft from Cooroy Scout Den
GAS bottles have been stolen from the Cooroy Scout Den.
Cooroy Scout Chairperson, Lee Smith, said that over the past week, all of the gas bottles (approximately six) were stolen from the Scout Den on Mary River Road (next to Cooroy Tennis Courts).
“This leaves the group with a considerable expense to replace them.
“We are appealing to anyone in the community who may consider donating any unused bottles that they have.”

Misuse of Cooroora Netball Club courts
THE Cooroora Netball Club is disappointed that their netball courts in Cooran have been damaged after receiving grants to repair and repaint them. These repairs cost the club $41,000.
The club has contacted Noosa Council to advise them and enquire as to whether a sign can be put back up to stop the courts from being used by bikes, skateboards, scooters and roller skates.
In the meantime, the Club is asking people to please treat the courts with respect and refrain from riding on them.
