Meet the Kindness Club

INTRODUCING another kind-hearted club member! Along with our articles and projects, we will share member profiles. The children will share their feelings about kindness and a little about themselves.

Kenzi, Grade 3

What does kindness mean to you?

Kindness makes me feel happy because it makes other people feel happy too.

The last kind deed you did for someone?

I helped my sister after she fell off her bike. I gave her hugs.

A kindness shown to you?

Our neighbour gave me a lollipop.

What makes you happy?

Watching a sunrise at the beach, riding my bike, and watching my little brother, Lochy chase birds in the backyard!

The Kindness Club would love to hear from you! If you have a kindness story to share please email Wendy at thekindnessclub@ outlook.com or post it to The Kindness Club, c/- P.O Box 816, Cooroy.

“Little hearts make a big difference” POMONA and District Community Kindergarten was excited to participate in this year’s Noosa Country Show. The theme ‘where town meets country’ was explored with the children and we engaged in a variety of art practices and discussions. We had fun making Australian animals from clay and natural resources. Some of the animals that we observed in our local environment included echidnas, koalas, and blue-banded native bees. The children enjoyed making townhouses using recycled collage materials, as well as some collage artworks. Community links are an important part of our kindergarten program, and we have a strong focus on caring for and respecting our environment.

We are inviting prospective families to visit our kindergarten on Friday 22 October, between 9:30am and 11:00am. We are currently taking enrolments for 2022. If you would like any information about our wonderful community kindergarten, please contact Co-Directors Peta Collis and Renae Hudson on 5485 1381.
