Hundreds of people enjoyed the annual Pomona in the Park concert at Stan Topper Park.
A foot-tapping success POMONA State School’s annual ‘Pomona in the Park’ went off without a drop of rain. After wet weather forced the November event to reschedule to early December, hundreds of parents, students and the locals packed Stan Topper Park to watch this end of year concert under a starry sky. Every class showcased their talents and skills with choreographed dances in fabulous costumes, while Pomona State School’s school band, choir, and winners of Pomona’s Got Talent also performed. Covey said that it was a truly magical evening. “Everyone, from students to staff, put in a huge amount of effort as ‘Pomona in the Park’ generates an enormous amount of pride within our school and the local population at large,|” she said. “The entire evening demonstrates our school’s commitment to providing our students with a wealth of musical and arts-related opportunities. “We were so pleased that the weather held out and we could hold this year’s concert in Stan Topper Park.”
