Vegas and Coppell both offer a great time with fun friends! The Coppell Community Gala is for everyone, it is a COMMUNITY gala. If you want to see friends, meet others from Coppell and have a great time, then buy your tickets now. This is the 33rd Annual Coppell Community Gala and this year’s theme is “Fabulous Las Vegas.” Join us for an evening of dinner, live entertainment, a Live & Silent Auction and casino games. Former White House Communications Director, David Sherzer, to speak at April Chamber Monthly Luncheon April 22, 2016 11:30 am - 1:00 pm Coppell Senior & Community Center David Sherzer, the former communications director and personal aide to George W. Bush, worked in the White house from 2003 -2009. He will speak at the Coppell Chamber Monthly Luncheon on April 22nd from 11:30 am – 1:00 pm at
the Coppell Senior & Community Center (345 Bethel Road, Coppell, Texas 75019). Tickets are $25 for early bird and $30 at the door. ATMOS ENERGY speaks at the Coppell Chamber’s Government Affairs April Meeting Jan Rugg, Manager of Public Affairs for Atmos Energy Corporation, will be the speaker for the April 19th Coppell Chamber’s Governmental Affairs Speakers Series meeting. Come out to learn about the plans Atmos Energy has to update and replace some of the aging equipment in our area and how that will impact our community. Jan will give a presentation as well as answer questions from attendees. This forum is always open to the public for any attendees to join us. The Coppell Chamber announces support of Coppell ISD 2016 Bond Referendum The Coppell Chamber, Coppell’s leading business organization, formally supports; The 2016 Coppell ISD Bond Referendum. The 2016 Coppell ISD bond package is proposed to address the following: • Construction of a new elementary school or expansion of existing elementary schools, depending on growth patterns and community input. • Basic servicing for infrastructure and upgrades throughout the district such as technology, roofing, flooring, electrical, heating, and cooling. • Construction of a new Middle School West, while the existing Middle School West will be converted into a 9th Grade Center to address enrollment growth. • Renovation of Coppell High School in areas including fine arts, dressing rooms, and bathrooms to accommodate increased enrollment and update existing facilities. • Improved student safety features including lighting, fire alarms, sprinkler systems, security cameras, and visitor access systems. • Replacement of the track and turf at Coppell Middle School East. • Renovation of the Service and Network Operations Center.
