OFFICER BRITTON the paint program, and the Town Council recently adopted a “Clean and Lien” program and also ramped up code enforcement and animal control efforts. In order to continue developing these efforts and manage an effective strategy the Town of Superior has moved Officer John Britton into a Community Liaison Officer - Code Enforcement. Officer Britton works the day to day efforts of code enforcement. He remains a sworn police officer for the Town and the main focus of his duties include handing code enforcement, animal control and other community policing efforts. Each week of the month, Officer Britton visits one of the four quadrants of town to check for code violations. Any violations he discovers are then issued a warning, and each warning receives 30 days to repair or improve on the violation. Those who do not respond to the warnings are then ticketed. He attempts to help local residents connect with resources so they can resolve code violations. In the 2017-18 Fiscal Year Budget the Superior Town Council voted to allocate funds to the “Clean and Lien” program. This budgetary allocation will allow the Town to go in an clean properties that have been abandoned. Weeds will be cut, the house will receive a base coat of paint and secure view

Hurricane Harvey relief efforts.
