Sticky Fingers (Ages 2 to 7)

Beat Street Adult Hip Hop (Ages 12 & Up)

Instructor Jean Rao provides ongoing arts and crafts classes year round. Children will explore different mediums through hands-on activities with parental and instructor assistance.

American School of Etiquette & Fashion (Ages 6 to 14)

Learn the basics of etiquette, sketching, posture and picture perfect. Create your own Fashion Haute Couture with garments and shoes to showcase in a chic and trendy runway show at the end of the course. Wednesdays • 5 to 5:45 p.m. Cost: $40 per four-week session

American Sign Language Classes features history about deaf culture and the deaf community, finger spelling, numbering, classifiers, facial expression, use of space, sentence structure and vocabulary development. Concepts of summarizing and paraphrasing and when to use them within their receptive interpretation and how to identify the main idea of a signed text as well as the supporting details. Friday • 7 to 9 p.m. Cost: $160 per 8-week session • $120 for students (Valid student ID required in-person at Gymnasium at time of registration)

ACT/SAT Boot Camp This program is designed to provide training and preparation to take the SAT/ACT Exam. Instructor Andrew Stuhl is a professional, full-time math tutor with 15 years experience and an expert in SAT/ ACT math preparation. November 18 & 19 • 1 to 4 p.m. Cost: $329 for two, three-hour sessions

Beat Street Dance Company Are you an energetic, enthusiastic, team-spirited dancer 4 to 18 years old who loves competition? Tumble Bears (Ages 2 1/2 - 4) Children will begin class with music warm up, yoga and creative movement. Props like the parachute, scarves and bean bags will be used for variety. Tumbling skills will be learned along with balance beam, tunnel and other coordination equipment. Instructed by Joy Deco Enterprises. Cheer & Tumbling (Ages 4 to 12) Students will do musical stretching to kid's favorite songs, learn techniques for motions, jumps and stunting. Cheers, chants and pom pom dance routines will be learned so students may perform at local events and for families. Class material progresses and changes from month to month. Tumbling & Acrobatics (Ages 5 to 11) Tumblers will learn floor stretches, splits, bridges, rolls, cartwheels, handstands and other acrobatic tricks and routines. Tumble aids will be used to help promote technique and build a strong base for this sport. Class is fun and children move through obstacle courses to keep all children in motion and learning. This class builds selfconfidence, promotes self-expression and teaches a safe way to tumble. Instructed by Joy Deco Enterprises. Lil' Sluggers (Ages 2 to 4) A child development program created to introduce toddlers to the game of baseball. Classes develop important baseball skills such as throwing, catching, hitting, and base running. Developmentally appropriate equipment and games are used to teach your child the game of baseball in a fun, exciting and positive environment. Kickstart Soccer (Ages 18 mo. to 4) A child development program that uses a variety of fun games and activities to delight and engage kids in physical activity. Curriculum is designed to develop motor skills, enhance soccer skills, promote fitness and create self-confidence. We stress a non-competitive environment and promote fun above all else. Shooting Stars (Ages 3 to 6) Teaches young children basketball fundamentals like dribbling, passing and shooting while emphasizing motor skills development, all in a FUN non-competitive environment. Kidokinetics (Ages 3 to 6) The “fun way to fitness”- your child will learn a new sport each week. They will be introduced to the basics of each sport in a fun and noncompetitive atmosphere. Activities include soccer, hockey, tennis, basketball, volleyball, football, golf, hula hoops, obstacle courses, T-ball and more. All classes are led by experienced coaches who will provide a fun and safe environment for learning. Kidokinetics focuses on individual achievement to improve the child’s self confidence. Triple Threat Basketball (Ages 7 to 14) An on-going after school basketball academy where boys and girls learn the fundamentals of basketball. Through drills, games and team activities, your child will take their game to the next level. Whether your child is just starting off or is looking to sharpen their skills before school try-outs, this academy will help make them the best player they can be! Classes will begin in March.

Funtastic Gymnastics (Ages 4 to 9) Each week, we host different event or skill to increase the children’s interest and progress. Our program offers the horizontal training bar for strength and the small balance beam for agility and coordination. Owner Beth Budnick has been teaching more than 30 years. Bass Fishing Class (Ages 12 and Up) This program will introduce you to the great sport of fishing for Largemouth Bass, here in our local waters in Florida. Participants will learn how to rig/fish the plastic worm, top water/crank bait, fishing techniques, knots, tackle selection, etc.. All equipment is provided by professional instructor Ron Gallo. Okinawan Karate (Ages 4 to 18) Trust your child's self-defense instruction with Scott Ashley, a lawenforcement officer with more than 30 years of teaching experience. Scott is a sixth-degree black belt, a former world kickboxing champion and is currently on staff at Broward College, where he teaches defensive tactics to Police recruits. Children enrolled in the program will develop discipline, respect and self-confidence while learning self-defense. Aikido (Ages 12 & Up) A non-aggressive Japanese Martial Art – self defense oriented for men, women and teenagers. Learn to use the opponents energy against themselves with virtually no strength needed. Great for beginners or experienced practitioners. Aikido teaches fluid movements as you perform simple effective techniques. Classes taught by Shihan Michael D’Angona, 5th degree Black Belt with over 20 years experience in the Japanese Martial arts. Joy Deco Inc. is offering Kids in Action, Kids Days Off sports programs (Ages 5–11) including soccer, basketball, kickball, obstacle course, dodgeball, field hockey. The activities include zumba, dance aerobics, theatre games, gymnastics, cheerleading, arts and crafts and team building activities. Pre-registration is required, no walk-ins the day of.

Simply Soccer Camps (Ages 5 to 15) Simply Soccer stresses the four components of soccer. Camp Director Gary Curreri has a USSF National License, a USSF National Youth License, and a Florida Youth Soccer Association State Staff Coach. Full-day participants receive a free T-shirt, certificates and written evaluation of their performance for the week. Campers must bring a soccer ball, swim suit, shin guards, water bottle and lunch. Kreul Basketball Tournament December 15-18 This will be the 28th annual Kreul Classic, one of the country’s premier boys’ high school basketball tournaments. Spanning four days, the 2017 Kreul will feature some of the nation’s top-rated teams. Along with the best South Florida programs, teams from Coral Springs High, Coral Springs Christian and Coral Springs Charter will have the opportunity to test their skills and make memories while playing in this exceptional national event. Friday Night Dinner Club

The Friday Night Dinner Club is a program designed for adults with special needs to socialize in a restaurant setting. Once a month, the group will go to a different restaurant while under the supervision of Parks and Recreation staff members.

A fun-filled activity day designed for special needs individuals. Activities include both on-site and off-site entertainment. The times and costs for activities and trips vary, please check the current itinerary at CoralSprings.org/specialpops.

Community Bus Program This bus service is available throughout the City. There are two routes, Green and Blue, that travel to the Coral Square Mall, several shopping centers, City parks, and Broward Health Coral Springs. Monday - Friday • 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday • 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday • Noon to 5 p.m. Cost: The fee is 50¢ per ride. Visit CoralSprings.org/buses for route maps and timetables.

Coral Springs Skate Park Rollerbladers and skateboarders can practice their skills on the various ramps, dips and bowls. Contests and professional demonstrations take place on occasion. There are bleachers at the park for spectators and parents to watch the skaters and bladers. To become a skate club member, non-residents must have a Coral Springs non-resident card, which is $181 per fiscal year, per family. Hours of operation: May vary by season. Monday - Thursday • CLOSED Friday (school year) • 4 to 9 p.m. Saturday & Sunday • 2 to 9 p.m. Additional hours may be available during the summer. Cost: $5 Per Session Location: The Coral Springs Skate Park is located adjacent to the Slide ‘N Glide playground at Betti Stradling Park, on the northeast corner of Wiles Road and Coral Springs Drive. 10301 Wiles Rd. Coral Springs Fitness Center Get and stay fit at the Coral Springs Aquatic Complex Fitness Center. Our gym will meet all of your fitness needs. Our fitness equipment is second to none, including free weights, Body Masters, Hammer Strength and Ground Zero machines. To keep your heart healthy, we have treadmills, both recumbent and upright bikes, Stairmasters and EFX Cross trainers. As always, expect total quality service from the staff of personal trainers on site to lend a helping hand. So don’t delay, come check us out today. Beginner & Intermediate/Advanced Water Polo This year-round water polo program is designed to enhance and improve basic water polo skills for school-age participants. Senior Fitness Classes The Fitness Center at the Aquatic Complex is now offering free fitness classes designed for Coral Springs residents age 62 and older. The classes use state-of-the-art equipment that was developed for maximum muscle and bone density regrowth. A personal trainer and geriatric nurse will be teaching each session. The sessions are easy, upbeat and fun! Class times vary. Call for details.

Masters and Adult Swim Program Looking for a change in your regular workout schedule? Why not swim? The Coral Springs Masters and Adult Fitness Swim Program is a year-round adult program designed for swimmers of all abilities. The main focus of the program is to improve stroke, endurance, health and fitness. Triathletes are welcome. Competitions are available but not required.

The Coral Springs Swim Club is a year-round competitive swimming program for children and young adults. The Club has consistently ranked in the top three swim clubs in the nation for teaching stroke excellence. Several Olympic and current World Champions train with our elite coaching staff. Tryouts: Ages 12 and under at Mullins Park Pool from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Ages 13 and older at the Aquatic Complex at 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Diving Lessons Diving is a full-scale recreational program featuring state-of-theart equipment in one of the best outdoor facilities in the country. Students develop strength, flexibility and confidence while learning how to dive properly from the springboards and platforms. This program accommodates children ages 6 to 18 of all skill levels. Swim America (Ages 3 to 12) Teaches water safety skills for the beginner and the four competitive strokes to the more advanced swimmers. Forever Broward • November 2017 - throughout 2018 A new project for the Museum and an amazing partnership with the City of Coral Springs and Broward County, that was made possible by support from the Community Foundation of Broward funds: Helen and Frank Stoykov Charitable Endowment Fund, Ruth H. Brown Funds for the Arts, Mary N. Porter Community Impact Fund, and David and Francie Horvitz Family Fund. Functional Fitness (Low Impact Aerobics) • 10 a.m. This is an upbeat low impact aerobics class, designed for the senior population that may be performed standing or in a seated position. The class includes energizing and easy-to-follow movements that promote heart-healthy, total-body conditioning to increase cardiovascular and muscular endurance. Functional Fitness (Strength and Stretch) • 10:30 a.m. Move to the music through a variety of exercises designed to increase strength, help maintain healthy bone mass and prevent age-related muscle loss. Followed by a complete body stretch that will give you more freedom of movement for your everyday activities. A chair is used for support. (Bring light weights)

The Sawgrass Nature Center & Wildlife Hospital (SNC) is an environmental learning center and wildlife rehabilitation facility located in Sportsplex Park. The Center is open to the public for self-guided tours or any of our special programs. The SNC also operates a wildlife rehabilitation facility caring for injured, sick and orphaned native wildlife with the hope of releasing them back into the wild. Camp Wild - Winter Break Camp (Ages 6 to 12) “Camp Wild” campers enjoy hands-on activities with animals and plants, outdoor exploration, science experiments and arts and crafts. Wild Birthday Parties Celebrate your birthday at the SNC as we offer a unique opportunity to get up close with nature. Programs are fun and educational, in hopes of instilling the message that we all need to be stewards of the earth. Guests also enjoy a guided tour of the SNC exhibit area.

Pottery Class Local clay artist Jan Kolenda will conduct a nature-inspired pottery class this Fall. No experience is required. The class is limited in size so check our website for details as they become available.

"Wishes For Wildlife Gala" On Saturday, November 11, guests will enjoy an evening of music, cocktails, and gourmet food at the Coral Springs Marriott, 11775 Heron Bay Blvd. Tickets are $85 for SNC members and $100 for non-members. Halloween Haunted House

Friday, October 27 • 5 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday, October 28 • 2 to 7 p.m. Children will enjoy a non-scary haunted house that weaves through decorated indoor classrooms and then have a chance to play in bounce houses and on slides. Florida Family Safety Fest
