1. Online registration begins March 27. Forms are available for download and must be mailed or dropped off at the Gymnasium. (Best option for submitting payments) CoralSprings.org/KampKool 2. Walk-in registration: Drop off the completed forms and deposit beginning March 27 at the Coral Springs Gymnasium. 3. Mail-in registration: For the seven-week program, mail must be postmarked on or after Monday, March 27. Complete the registration form and indicate the child’s first, second and third choice of camp sites/programs.

Multi-family registrations mailed in the same envelope will be returned. • Check and money orders only. Do not send cash. • Enclose a $100 deposit for each child. Please include a separate check or money order for each child. Make checks and money orders payable to the City of Coral Springs, and be sure to include your driver’s license number. • Include a non-returnable copy of your child’s current report card. • Once your registration form has been received, an invoice will be mailed to you stating your camp placement and balance due.

Important Information • Children are placed in camps on a first-come, firstserved basis. If a camp receives more applications than its capacity, the Parks and Recreation Department will use your second or third choices for enrollment. • Once your child is placed in a camp, the $100 deposit is non-refundable. • Children must be six years of age by September 1, 2017 to enroll in the program or as stated in the description of each camp. • There will be a $25 administration fee for changing camps. All requests must be in writing.

The event is open to all high school students who attend our local high schools, and residents who are home-schooled or attend private schools. Students may receive service hours for attending. MusicMakers! MusicMakers! Summer Camp is a unique performing arts program for kids of all ages- celebrating its 20 year Anniversary in 2017! Each session excites campers through hands-on learning in singing, percussion, keyboard, string orchestra, woodwinds, choreography & music reading. All experience levels welcome! Creative movement, arts & crafts, games, spirit days, & water balloon wars - plus free recitals & finale concerts- add even more fun & excitement! Instruments are provided… so join us and take what you know about music to the next level! Did You know? MusicMakers! has helped to create over 200 All-State musicians since its inception in 1998. Ms. Nicole, Camp Director, is a National Board Certified Teacher in Elementary/ Middle General Music, as well as a past Broward County Teacher of the Year and 2008 Broward County Arts Teacher of the Year. She is a classically-trained singer and private vocal teacher who enjoys teaching all kinds of kids to love ALL styles of music. She has lived in Coral Springs since 1974. We Love Our Volunteers! High school students may earn up to 250 service hours per summer. Music experience desired, but not required. Online application deadline is April 15.

Our campers (K - 10th ) will experience the joy of learning new skills and gain confidence as they participate in a variety of activities: fine arts, Spanish, science experiments, wet & wild, drama, crafts, performances, cotton candy, water slides at the end of each session, games and spots. 7th - 10th graders will be introduced to a leadership program to start gaining experience in planning communication and self-confidence. Campers must bring lunch, labeled water bottle and snacks. Dress attire is shorts or pants, camp T-shirt and sneakers.

Code: Explorers PRE-UNIVERSITY CAMPS Engineering, Technology and Computer Science An award-winning, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, empowers students through the use of mobile learning and technology to explore engineering, technology and computer science from an engineer/technologist point of view . We connect technology companies, academia, college and PK-12 students to share and learn these 21st century skills utilizing age-appropriate kinesthetic activities that illustrate each field. NEO/JR Mechatronics/Robotics Engineering June 12-16 Explore the fascinating engineering world of mechatronics and robotics! Construct mechatronic and robotic structures such as cars, robotic arms powered by remote systems. In this programs students will learn about the mechanical and electrical engineering aspects of mechatronics. JR students will learn the basics of PYTHON to program physical devices. A MECHATRONIC Kit is provided.
NEO/JR Sensor and Robotic Programming June 19-23 Explore computer engineering and learn computation thinking skills by programming sensors and robots. Build your own computer programs and connect the logical with the physical world. Learn the basics elements of computer programmingsequencing, repeating loops, decision trees, message broadcasting, object manipulation, sound integration. JR students will learn the basics of PYTHON to program physical devices before. A sensor/ robotic kit is provided.
NEO/JR 3D Mechanical Engineering - Machines, CAD June 26-30 This camp is divided in two areas: simple machines exploration and building, and computer assisted design (3D modeling) and fabrication (e.g. 3D printing). Explorer mechanical engineering by experiments with different class of machines and its mechanical advantages. Learn the basics of 3D design - wire, solids, geometric combinations, etc. Learn how to scan and digitize 3D objects. Build basic 3D models and 3D print them.
NEO/JR Electrical Engineering and Digital Electronics with Arduino programming July 10-14 Explore electrical engineering and digital electronics by experimenting with different types of electrical components, circuits design, etc. Build your own electronic games and manage circuits with light, motion and sound. In addition to developing
electronic games, explorer programming components with Arduino programmable controllers using block programming. JR will be introduced to oscilloscopes and wave measurements. An electronic breadboard kit is provided.
NEO/JR 3D Architecture and Structural Engineering July 17-21 Explore and experiment with the basics of architectural and structural design elements. Use 3D visualization techniques and models to build different type of basic (JR compound) structures. Visualized 3D architectural models with Virtual and Augmented reality. Build a replica of the Eiffel Tower. A Structural Engineering Kit is provided.
NEO/JR Aeronautical Engineering July 17-21 Explorer the world of aeronautical engineering. Learn the basics of flight, aerodynamics, and its many machines – helicopters, airplanes, rockets and drones. Experiment with different aerodynamic constructions and build your own airplanes. An aeronautical engineering kit is provided.
NEO 2D Game Designer July 24-28 Learn the basics of 2D game design. Make your own video games. Learn concepts like game planning, character movement, collision detection, level design, in-game dialogue, playability and more. Motion pictures, games, apps utilize these technologies. NEO/JR Minecraft Game Design and Programming July 31- August 4 Students take Minecraft to the next level by learning how to plan, build and test their game mods and create their worlds. Simply Soccer Summer Camp Simply Soccer Camp stresses the four components of soccer. Masters and Adult Swim Program is a year-round adult program designed for swimmers. The main focus of the program is to improve stroke, endurance, health and fitness. Triathletes are welcome. Competitions are available but not required. To participate in the program, you must be at least 18 years old and be able to swim 500 yards. USA Masters Membership Fee required. Senior Fitness Classes The classes use state-of-the-art equipment that was developed for maximum muscle and bone density regrowth. SwimAmerica Lessons is a learn-to-swim program for children. SwimAmerica teaches water safety skills for the beginner and the four competitive strokes to the more advanced swimmer. All participants (ages 3 and older) registering for level II class or higher, must present a skills card from prior lessons, or obtain one by being pre-tested at the Aquatic Complex. Testing is available Monday - Friday 2 to 4:30 p.m. Saturday/Sunday 1 to 4 p.m.

Learn to Swim Classes/Levels Parent and Child Aquatic Programs: (6 months to approx. 3 years) 30 min. Children learn basic skills through blowing bubbles and playing with water toys. Parents work with their children to practice floating, kicking and swimming back to the side of the pool. This is not survival swimming. This class will get the child acclimated to lessons. Preschool Aquatics PreSchool Level I (approx. ages 3-5) 45 min. Helps children become comfortable in the water and learn basic water safety. Preschool Level II & III (ages 4 – 5) 45 min. Builds on skills from Level I, and introduces fundamental skills such as kicking and coordinating arm and leg movements. Must pass exit skills test to move up. Learn to Swim Course (ages 6 and up) 45 min. Level I: Introduction to Water Skills Helps participants feel comfortable in water. Skills include back float, treading water, coordinating arm and leg movements, and age-appropriate water safety. Level II: Fundamental Aquatic Skills Builds on skills learned in Preschool Aquatics OR Learn to Swim Level I. Learning objectives will include enter water by jumping, floating front and back and changing direction of travel. Level III: Stroke Development Course will build on skills learned in Fundamentals. The dolphin and breaststroke kicks will be introduced to prepare for the butterfly and breaststroke swimming. Level IV/V: Stroke Improvement & Refinement Course develops confidence and builds endurance in strokes learned in the previous classes and includes further coordination and refinement of all strokes. Skills introduced include: tuck and pike surface dives, and flip turns. Level VI: Skill Proficiency To refine strokes so participants swim them with more ease, efficiency, power and smoothness and over greater distances. Adult Swim (ages 13 and up) 45 min. Adult Beginner Basic Level I Course is design to teach teens and adults overcome their fear of the water and to learn basic skills to achieve a minimum level of water competency. Adult Stroke & Skills Improvement II & III Course is design for teens and adults to improve foundation skills and strokes to gain an overall level of comfort in the water.

The teen ensemble begins right from the first day preparing for their full-scale Broadway style production of Lion King with multiple performances. There is one full week focusing on technique, play’s style and auditioning in each genre (acting, singing, dancing). From this audition every one’s level of understanding and ability is assessed and they are placed in an adequate role to be sure that they will learn, progress and succeed. Senior Programs All classes take place at Coral Springs Senior Center at Sartory Hall in Mullins Park, unless noted. Trips and special events are available for 55 and older and are offered every month. Some classes require proof of age and/or residency.

Senior Pride Bus Program provides transportation to local grocery stores and malls for senior citizens. The group also goes on trips to local attractions at an additional cost. Chair Yoga a low-impact yoga class for seniors done on a chair aimed to relax and stretch the body. Wednesdays 2:15 p.m. Fridays 10:15 a.m. Crochet Classes For any level stitchers.
