Our campaign is called “The Coldest Summer”. You might be wondering what exactly that means. Studies show that you have likely already lived through your coldest summer, we want to change that. stop the years getting hotter. We are focused on saving our plant through change on the societal level instead of the individual. For example, instead of asking you personally to stop using one use plastics we would suggest that we ban one use plastics. At the end of the day you are only one person, there is only so much you can do. We have much, much bigger fish to fry.
What is happening?
Taylor Swift’s plane was identified by the report as the “biggest celebrity CO2e polluter this year so far,” racking up 170 flights since January with emissions totaling more than 8,293 metric tons.
A plane affiliated with boxer Floyd Mayweather came in second, emitting about 7,076 metric tons of CO2, with one logged trip only lasting 10 minutes.
the report stated that planes affiliated with celebrities emitted an average of more than 3,376 metric tons of CO2 — roughly 480 times more than an average person’s annual emissions.
The hottest year on record worldwide was 2016, followed by 2020, so it’s not as if each consecutive year is warmer than the one that came before it but the top seven warmest years on Earth were in the past seven years.
Nearly half of New Zealand’s greenhouse gas emissions come from agriculture. The main source of agriculture emissions is methane from livestock digestive systems. It makes up almost three quarters of our agriculture emissions

Fossil fuels include coal, oil and gas – and the more that are extracted and burned, the worse climate change will get. All countries need to move their economies away from fossil fuels as soon as possible. Changing our main energy sources to clean and renewable energy is the best way to stop using fossil fuels. These include technologies like solar, wind, wave, tidal and geothermal power. places
Oceans also absorb large amounts of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere, which helps to keep our climate stable. But many are overfished, used for oil and gas drilling or threatened by deep sea mining. Protecting oceans and the life in them is ultimately a way to protect ourselves from climate change. Forests are crucial in the fight against climate change, and protecting them is an important climate solution. Cutting down forests on an industrial scale destroys giant trees which could be sucking up huge amounts of carbon. Yet companies destroy forests to make way for animal farming, soya or palm oil plantations. Governments can stop them by making better laws.

We as a society need to change before its to late. if we dont then the years will only get hotter, so we ask you share this information , to vote in favor of our plant and protest when injustice is thrust upon it, the bare minimum is better than nothing.keeping up hope for a colder summer next year.
