The Music Device Part I: Music Device + Skin First Name Last Name
This instrument stretches 7ft long as it conforms to the shape of the player. Its simple and sleek form curves and bends to create bridges for the strings to be stretched to create a variation in pitches and sounds. The sound box sits within the belly of the instrument as it dipds down creating an opening that rverberate sound into the oprn space. This instrument can be played by one or two players. Able to fold down into a compacted form, this music device is porable despite its aklarge size. The casig for it conforms to the shape of the instrument and nestles the form with its extending arms that lock in the instrument. Caption Hiding the interior works like a piano, this case protects the instrument until it is needed to be played.

Precedent Analysis Part I a. Cornelius Tulloch
The Auditorio de Leon by Mansilla and Tunn Architects,is located in Leon, Spain. Its main facade greets the street corner and stands almost as a monument. The facde is made up of angle window ports that allow light into the lobby of the auditorium complex. The auditrium itself is surrounded by layers of program that help it insulate the sound inside and block out exterior noise. Auditorio De Leon Mansilla + Tunon Architects Span, 2002

Avenida | Music Hall Project Part II Cornelius Tulloch
Spring 2018 Second Year Studio
Avenida reacts to the urban grid of Ithaca. Its massing draws in visitors into the public spaces it creates by elevating and cantilevering the main auditorium structure above two thin forms. The open urban spaces that this creates allows for outdoor audiences to view performers, allow for public events like farmer’s markets, food trucks, fairs, and much more to happen in this space. The elevated form focuses on the framing of two major views on this site. the auditorium faces north. This allows the audience to experience panoramic views as performers use those backgrounds to their advantage. On the east side, the practice rooms look towards the Ithaca commons and towards Cornell University. Music Hall Part II

Structural Frame Model
Stretching across the site, this form seperates its program by its Structural Grid. Open circulation paths lead to the insulated sound protecting areas and into the auditorium. The east facade has a polycarbonate and glass facde that allows passerbys to experience the performance of curculation throughout this space as it cantilevers above the ground plane. This cantilver meets the edge of the street and invites the city into this space.
