The Piling works are estimated to take between Four to Five weeks. Figure 3 below shows the Piling Design previously approved by Highways and Utility Companies.
FIGURE 3 – PILING LAYOUT The Piling Contractor used for this project has established a reputation for delivering high quality piling and ground engineering solutions throughout the British Isles and overseas. Steady year-on-year growth further confirmed their position as the largest and most successful geotechnical contractor in the UK. Noble design and Build have partnered with this Contractor on numerous other Developments and confidence in them delivering on this project. The piles selected for this project is the Continuous Flight Auger (CFA) technique, this is one of the quietest piling solutions available and is virtually vibration free, making it ideal for working in close proximity to existing buildings, in residential or in environmentally sensitive areas. They can also be installed without the need for casing, bentonite or polymers in both cohesive material such as clay, weak rock, non-cohesive and water bearing soils such as sand, gravels and glacial tills.
BASEMENT WORKS Following on from the Piling Contractor, Nobles Groundworkers will be carrying out the reduce level dig and specialist concrete works. STEEL FRAME Following the Basement Works, our steel erectors will be visiting site and intend on erecting the Steel frame from the Car Park end of our Site. The Steel Frame has been fully designed and is currently in Fabrication, Pre-fabricating the steel frame off site will ensure the building will be built in the fastest possible way.
