WOW !!!!!!!
I have just been to Tamar View Nurseries at Saltash and you should see what the Christmas Elves have done this year. It is AMAZING!!!!!
Christmas has taken over nearly all of the centre and is a completely different look to past years. For those of you that know the centre at Christmas do not worry; all the moving animals and old favourites are still on display with a brand new feature in the grotto. This year children board the carriage pulled by a train, yes a train, complete with smoke and noise which takes them to the North Pole to visit Father Christmas on his sleigh.

From the lighting department, to the many decorated trees to the patterns of baubles on the walls to the many themes from woodland animals to gonks to Christmas angels, they have really gone over the top this year. Whether you are a Christmas traditionalist or prefer a modern take on decorations there is definitely inspiration here for everyone. And the festive approach does not just stop in the Christmas department, from the gift area to the restaurant to the plant area everyone and everywhere is involved.
The Elves put so much hard work and effort into the grotto it is a shame not to share it with everyone all of the time. One of the biggest differences to their grotto is that it is designed to be viewed and enjoyed all of the time by everyone visiting the centre whether Father Christmas is in residence or not . When Father Christmas is there everyone can watch the children up and see them talking to him and share in the magic he creates.
Owners Mike and Pauline Hooper first started collecting their animated characters over 35 years ago and now have over 60 pieces! One of the most popular are the singing reindeer introduced two years ago but a close second are the rabbits which are the smallest of the lot!
The Elves are always delighted to see their customers getting into the spirit of Christmas whether it is doing a jig to the gramophone band playing or laughing at the three singing reindeer. Their Christmas displays are for children of all ages young or old and if they manage to put a smile on their customers faces then they consider they have done their job well!
