Destination Downtown Downtown is the go-to dining and shopping district for both locals and visitors alike. With a collection of unique shops and restaurants rounded out by the Cornwall Square mall and pop-up markets the Downtown has certainly earned its claim. Cornwall’s revitalized downtown offers a growing mix of restaurants and retail stores, beautiful waterfront parks, museums and tree-lined neighbourhoods. Anchored by the landmark intersection of Pitt and Second, Downtown is the historical heart of the region. Heritage homes, churches and buildings provide a clue as to what the city looked like a century ago. Whatever you are looking for you can find it Downtown.

A cycling paradise Lamoureux Park
Marina 200
Cornwall is emerging as one of the top cycling destinations in Ontario, and for good reason. You can cycle kilometers of traffic-free trails along the shores of the St. Lawrence River to a series of islands surrounded by the remnants of historic villages that were submerged over half a century ago. Cycling routes can take you through other key landmarks from the Battle of Crysler’s Farm to the St. Lawrence Seaway and Hydro Project. The cycling hub is the Cornwall Civic Complex, where you can enjoy complimentary parking, tourism information, maps and bike rentals. Look for suggested routes on Ride with GPS – SDG Cornwall Adventure Club, or join the St. Lawrence River Lifestyle group on Strava.
