There are endless opportunities to get outside and step into nature this fall and winter in South Glengarry! The Raisin Region Conservation Authority (RRCA) offers local natural spaces providing ample opportunities for family staycation activities all year long.
Cooper Marsh Conservation Area 20020 County Road 2, South Glengarry • 11.5 km of trails with interpretive signage • Boardwalks, viewing platforms, and viewing blinds • Permitted fall/winter activities: hiking, snowshoeing, and cross-country skiing • Due to the sensitive nature of the habitat, dogs are not permitted.

The trails provide year-round activity for South Glengarry residents and visitors for all ages. Currently, there are approximately 20 km of groomed crosscountry ski trails (classic and skating) and 12 km of snowshoe trails for winter use, and 9 km of snowshoe trails groomed for fat biking. Trails range from beginner to intermediate. Trail maps are made available at the parking lot during the winter season with rental of equipment available on weekends, weather and trail conditions permitting. This includes: XC ski packages (skis, boots, & poles), snowshoes and fat bikes, available in both adult and kid sizes. The Friends of the Summerstown Trails offer a number of events and programs for the community at large. More information at www.summerstowntrails.com
