LOVE Pictured standing outside their apartment at Windsorwood Place are Lister and Lola Endsley, who will be married 70 years on Valentine’s Day. Lister surprised Lola last week by coming back to their apartment with the Valentine’s Day craft that is hanging on their door. Activities Director Marla Myers invited residents to make the card holders and encouraged them to come fill out Valentine’s Day cards and deliver them to their neighbors. “Everyone loves mail and I like to do things that might bring back memories,” Myers said. “When you talk to the older generation they didn’t have gobs of money, but people now think you have to spend money to make people feel important. You can just fix someone a special dinner or make them a card. You don’t have to spend a lot of money to make someone feel special.” The Endsleys plan to celebrate Valentine’s Day and their anniversary by going to church with family and then having a covered dish. “We’ve had a good marriage,” Lola said.
