will be one of the spring season’s signature colours for makeup. It could appear as a monochromatic look on the entire face or as small touches. The complexion will be fresh, even bright, reflecting an aesthetic that values naturally glowing skin. As for the eyes, they’ll be framed with a soft peachy pink to match the colour applied to the lips, a delicate symbol of energy and vitality. In a blush, this colour brightens cheekbones. And on the eyelids, it awakens the eyes. Finally, it makes the lips look deliciously pouty!

Clarins
TO THE RESCUE!
By Vânia AguiarIt’s known that stress and fatigue are some of the skin’s worst enemies and must be combated starting from the age of 25, according to dermatologists. Clarins has been tackling this for a long time now, among other things with its Multi-Active Cream, whose eighth generation edition has just been created.
According to Marie-Hélène Lair, Innovation Director for the famous brand, the skin is always trying to tell us something and we should listen to it! Pay attention to the distress signals it sends us. Whether it’s coming from the outside - air pollution, the excesses of the climate...or the inside - striving to
of time to eat well and sleep well, financial or family concerns... -, continuous stress is toxic and cruelly leaves its mark on the epidermis, adding to the normal wear and tear that comes with time!
Dull complexion, sagging skin, fine lines and wrinkles... can you hear the skin screaming SOS?
The eighth generation of Clarins Multi-Active Cream is based on innovation. Its formula has been enhanced with pioneering active ingredients such as niacinimade, which stimulates collagen production and improves skin texture. Thistle extracted from sand dunes, meanwhile, fights against the thinning of the epidermis.
Clarins is therefore launching a dual treatment for day and night in the Multi-Active range that will meet the
different types of skin for women as well as men. This ultra-rich cream with a non-sticky texture is activated at all times, whether at rest or while on the go during the day.
Now that’s efficient. But Clarins never forgets how important the senses are when it creates a product. Thanks to its partnership with Takasagomaster perfumers, the formula of the brand new Multi-Active duo has been infused with floral, woody and amber notes. The night cream even releases a soothing scent that facilitates sleep and promotes sleep quality.
That’s news that sets our minds at ease! Generation 8 of Clarins’ Multi-Active Cream has come at the right time to save our skin!

IN ANTICIPATION OF SPRING and summer 2024, we’re taking care of our skin and sticking to the right beauty routine that relies on active ingredients corresponding to skin type. We’re properly hydrating the epidermis in advance, so that it’s healthy and plumped-up, which is never more important than when an icy breeze is whistling in the air.
Knowing that the long-awaited spring is coming, brands offer us a comprehensive approach to beauty that can not only improve the skin’s appearance but also strengthen our mental and emotional well-being. to try SpasSpring
By Vânia AguiarDon’t have the time to spend three days let alone a week at a wellness retreat? These express options, offered by local spas, are the ideal alternative to completely unwind!
TECHNO — SCULPTOR MONTREAL this
I loved my experience at Sculptor, Pointe Nord Road in Montreal. It was full of surprises! Against an avant-garde techno backdrop, this place offers a range of facial care treatments using various beauty tools and devices. The results following a facial massage are similar to those after procedures with injections. What they do: clean the skin, work to alleviate perceived tensions, warm and tone the muscles. The treatments stimulate blood circulation via electric current and reduce fine lines and define cheekbones with a signature massage tailored to your skin’s needs. I enjoyed the gentle Gua Sha massage, followed by an application of a moisturizing serum, cream and lip balm. A lively and dynamic ritual that’s surprisingly efficient!

GRAND LUXURY — SPA GUERLAIN
While at Spa Guerlain, a sumptuous cocoon nestled in the Four Seasons Hotel in Montreal, I benefited from “Exclusive Care: Energy and Radiance”. The Parisian Maison Guerlain has been elevating cosmetics to great heights since 1828. Its natural products are applied according to rituals derived from the know-how of the greatest Eastern and Western masters. My experience began with an interview during which a beauty expert discussed topics with me as diverse as diet, physical activity, stress level, and fatigue, etc. The goal of the interview was to coordinate Guerlain products perfect for the skin of my face and to meet its specific needs rather than following any pre-established protocol. The treatment can be modified and adapted according to the wishes of the client. I had a beautiful, relaxing experience in a très chic place where the senses are delighted while the body is beautified.

MUST HAVE — CLARINS SKIN SPA
The know-how of the famous French cosmetic brand has impressed since its creation by Jacques Courtin-Clarins in 1954. Located in Laval, the first Clarins Skin Spa in Canada is celebrating its 15th anniversary this year! In this charming and cozy setting, exclusive products created with plant extracts and professional expertise come together for a personalized sensory experience enhancing beauty both immediately and over time.
On my last visit, I received the “Beautiful at Any Age” treatment. Developed from an insightful diagnosis of my skin, the chosen products were applied with delicately rhythmic movements, allowing them to penetrate my epidermis and meet its needs. This treatment facilitates the drainage and detoxification of the dermis, which revivifies stressed skin as well as skin that has been weakened by hormonal changes and is lacking firmness as a result.
Thanks to the expert fingers of an experienced clinician, my face has not only been pampered - it’s had a workout!

HAVEN OF PEACE — SABBYA
Spanning over 8,000 square feet and located on rue Sainte-Catherine in the heart of the Village district in Montreal, Sabbya invites you to recharge with inclusive spaces and a holistic vision of medicalaesthetic treatments. As I entered this unique place of relaxation, I was offered a body scrub and wrap as well as a deep tissue massage.
After being enveloped and relaxed, you’re offered an integral revival of the epidermis that an expert personalizes just for you.
You can enjoy the treatment alone, as a couple or even with your family, and relish a moment of deep calm after a gruelling day.
You’ll feel relaxed and recharged, bringing a smile to your lips and giving your mind the rests it needs to tackle life again. A wonderful feeling of relaxation, in a place of absolute peace, which is without a doubt worth the trip!

URBAN REFUGE — SPA HUMANITI
Perched on the ninth floor of the chic Hotel Humaniti, on rue De la Gauchetière Ouest in Montreal, is an oasis of well-being. In an inviting modern setting featuring a pleasant panorama of the city, the Humaniti Spa offers luxurious ecofriendly treatments, including the Montreal BKIND treatment range and locally grown herbs. The beauty rituals for the face on offer are signatures of none other than Jennifer Brodeur, founder of the JB Skin Sävvi brand.
During my visit, I was first given the “Hottie”, which combines thermotherapeutic and Swedish massages and whose smooth, heated stones provide deep relaxation to tense muscles while relieving stresses accumulated in the mind and body. This hot stone massage was masterfully executed by an expert with truly magical hands!
Already completely enchanted by the previous treatment, I was then offered the “Chucou”, a face treatment that is vegan and full of antioxidants, created by the brand JB Skin Sävvi. It combines Quebec’s most beautiful herbs and flowers. This very nourishing treatment immediately hydrated my skin and made it shine. I have to say that it was nothing less than an exceptional beautifying treatment!
