BOHEMIA NATIONAL RECREATION Length: 6.7 miles Use: hiking, horse, mountain and motor biking Degree of difficulty: more difficult Trailhead: Road No. 23 to Shane Saddle on Road No. 2358. This trail was built in 186465 as a mining route from the Oakland-Roseburg area to the Bohemia Mining District and reconstructed in 2008. Portions are designated as a historical National Recreation Trail.

BOHEMIA MOUNTAIN TRAIL Length: .8 miles Use: hiking Degree of difficulty: most difficult Trailhead: Bohemia Saddle located on Road No. 2460 Bohemia Mountain Trail leads up a steep grade to the rocky summit of Bohemia Mountain, the highest point on the Cottage Grove Ranger District providing excellent views of the Cascades, Mt. Hood and Mt. Shasta.

ADAMS MOUNTAIN WAY Length: 3.6 miles Use: hiking, mountain bike Degree of difficulty: most difficult Trailhead: Brice Creek Road No. 22 to Knott Trail. This route was used by early miners traveling from Lund Park to Bohemia City. There is an occasional view of the Cascades from the trail.

HARDESTY WAY Length: 2.2 miles Use: hiking, mountain biking Degree of difficulty: more difficult Trailhead: Road No. 1758 to Sawtooth Trail. The original “way” trail has been abandoned but now the first 1.2 miles follows a gentle grade of a closed spur road offering an excellent mountain

FAIRVIEW CREEK TRAIL Length: 3.0 miles Use: hiking only Degree of difficulty: more difficult Trailhead: Mineral Camp on Road No. 2460. The trail parallels Fairview Creek, traveling through oldgrowth forests, steep rock walls and cascading streams.

BRICE CREEK TRAIL Length: 5.7 miles Use: hiking, mountain biking Degree of difficulty: easy to more difficult Trailhead: Brice Creek Road No. 22. The east portion of the trail follows an abandoned ditch built in the early 1900s to channel water to Lund Park, where electricity was produced for buildings and several mines. CRAWFISH Length: 5.2 miles Use: hiking, mountain bike Degree of difficulty: most difficult Trailhead: Brice Creek Road No. 22 to Knott Trail. The trail forms a loop system with Adams Mountain Way and Knott trails, traveling through timber and reforested lands.

NOONDAY Length: 6.9 miles Use: all; recommend one-way down for small four-wheeldrive vehicles Degree of difficulty: more difficult Trailhead: East Brice/Champion Creek Trailhead. Brice Creek Road to Champion Creek

MOUNT JUNE Length: 1.1 miles Use: hiking only Degree of difficulty: most difficult Trailhead: Road No. 1721-941. Mount June was once the site of a 50’ pole platform fire lookout station, circa 1920’s, later replaced by a 50’ wooden tower and cabin quarters. All structures have since been abandoned and destroyed however the view is still magnificent.

MOON FALLS Length: 0.5 miles Use: hiking Degree of difficulty: easy Trailhead: Road No. 1702-203 This trail travels thru a beautiful old growth forest and terminates at the base of a picturesque 125’ cascading waterfall.

KNOTT TRAIL Length: 4.8 miles Use: hiking, mountain & motor biking Degree of difficulty: more difficult Trailhead: Road No. 2241-760 to Road No. 2263-763. This trail was built in 1871 by John Knott to haul mining equipment to Bohemia Mines.

SAWTOOTH Length: 4.0 miles Use: hiking only Degree of difficulty: more difficult Trailhead: Road No. 5840-550 to Mount June Trail This trail is located within the semi-primitive non-motorized recreation area of Hardesty Mountain.

PINARD FALLS Length: 0.6 miles Use: hiking only Degree of difficulty: more difficult Trailhead: Road No. 1790, 3.6 miles from the junction with the 17 Road. This trail offers beautiful views of this 105’ tall waterfall via a shaded path the old-growth and second growth Douglas Fir stands.

PARKER FALLS Length: 1.1 miles Use: hiking only Degree of difficulty: more difficult Trailhead: Brice Creek Road approx 10 miles Parker Falls Trail leads to a series of waterfalls, pools and cascades in a forest of large Douglas fir.

Road No. 2473 The Noonday Trail was originally constructed in 1896 as a wagon road for hauling supplies and equipment into the Bohemia Mining District.

UPPER TRESTLE CREEK Length: 2.6 miles Degree of difficulty: more difficult Trailhead: East Brice/Champion Creek Trailhead This trail offers a great chance to see magnificent waterfalls and lush vegetation. Can connect with Brice Creek Trail for a loop.

TRESTLE CREEK Length: 0.7 miles Use: Hiking Degree of Difficulty: More Difficult Trailhead: East Brice/Champion Creek Trailhead Trestle Creek Falls trail is a narrow meandering trail that offers views of Trestle Creek canyon and the surrounding old growth forest.

SPIRIT FALLS Length: 0.4 miles Use: hiking Degree of difficulty: more difficult Trailhead: Road No. 1790. This trail follows a forested ridge, dropping into secluded Spirit Falls and pool on Alex Creek. SWORDFERN Leng th: 2.1 miles Use: hiking Degree of difficulty: more difficult Trailhead: Road No. 1700-420, Rujada Campground picnic area This trail travels through a beautiful stand of second growth Douglas fir and lush swordfern under story.

Centennial Bridge This bridge was constructed in 1987 by volunteer labor to celebrate Cottage Grove’s centennial. It rests on abutments of the old Main Street Bridge, which stood until the 1950s.

Currin Bridge Constructed in 1925 and restored in 1995, this bridge features white portals and red sides. Currin Bridge replaced an earlier covered bridge built in 1883 by a prominent local bridge builder, Nels Roney.

Swinging Bridge Located a half-mile upstream from Centennial Bridge, Swinging Bridge was built for foot and bicycle traffic and was mostly used by children crossing the Coast Fork to get to school. Currently closed for repairs.

Chambers Railroad Bridge Built in 1925 by lumberman J.H. Chambers to cross the Coast Fork of the Willamette River from his sawmill to the timberlands west of town, this is the only covered railroad bridge west of the Mississippi River. Restored in 2011.

Mosby Creek Bridge Constructed in 1920 and restored in 1990, this is the oldest bridge in Lane County. Its one lane remains open to traffic today.

Stewart Bridge Constructed in 1930 and restored in 1996, this structure has semi-circular portal arches, ribbon openings at the eaves, and decorative S-curve brackets. The deep water below the bridge is considered one of the best swimming holes in the county.

Dorena Bridge Constructed in 1949 and restored in 1996, this bridge was built after the construction of Dorena Dam on the Row River, forming the present-day lake. The Dorena Bridge once tied the roads on the north and south sides of the lake. Closed to traffic, the bridge is a popular wedding site.
