After three years of careful research and discussion, the boards of two local nonprofit organizations made an important decision: to merge. The Council for Older Adults and Senior Citizens Inc. joined forces to better serve the 55+ community.

In October 2014, the Council for Older Adults’ Board of Directors voted to rebrand the organization as SourcePoint, with a new slogan: “Thrive after 55!” Brand rollout was slated for April 2015.

t r o p p u S y Com mu n it SourcePoint’s Community Support Program is designed to help adults live safely in their own homes with independence and dignity. We provide a variety of in-home care services such as Meals On Wheels, help with chores, and transportation to medical appointments, as well as resources and support for family caregivers.

r e t n e C t n e E n r ic h m SourcePoint’s enrichment center is designed for fun, fitness, education, and creativity amongst friends and is a rich resource for those age 55 and older. The 44,000-square-foot center features a fitness room, warm water exercise pool, computer lab and library, dance room, art room, music room, billiards room, and other flexible spaces for group activities and social gatherings. There are more than 200 programs and trips each month.

This includes Meals On Wheels, health screenings, volunteer opportunities, transportation to medical appointments, social and educational programs, information and referral services, and more.

Volunteer. SourcePoint was founded by volunteers, and they continue to remain a vital key to our success. We depend on the energy and skills of our volunteers to fulfill our mission and to serve the public. We welcome one and all to get involved, whether for just one day, or for an ongoing experience.

Sponsor a special event. SourcePoint offers a number of high profile events and activities throughout the year. Some are geared toward the entire community and others are geared toward a segment of our membership.
