Daniel Mattar and Oliver Strauch searched and found each other. Voice and drums as an expression of the most archaic denominations with the greatest possible output. Nothing is missing!

MATTAR / STRAUCH
Daniel Mattar has worked with Bobby McFerrin, Peter Herbolzheimer, Steve Coleman, John Taylor and Wolfgang Becker, among others. He is the winner of the Berlin Senate competition for young artists and the Leverkusen Jazz Prize.
Since 2021 he has been a professor for jazz singing at the Carl-Maria von Weber University of Applied Sciences in Dresden.

Oliver Strauch has worked with jazz greats such as Lee Konitz, Randy Brecker and Roy Hargrove. Among the numerous prizes, the European jazz prize “JTI Award” is the most important.
Since 2000 he toured with trumpeter Ernie Hammes to Vietnam, Canada, USA, Italy and a master class in Fortaleza, Brazil (2003). Since 2005, Oliver Strauch’s Groovin’ High has worked closely with Randy Brecker.
The “Drummer’s Directory” listed him as one of the world’s most important drummers. As a professor, he heads the jazz department of the Saar University of Music.
