Home and Garden Show February 28th and March 1st

Find out how you can Build, Bloom and Beautify your home or garden during the 27th annual Florence Home and Garden Show coming up February 28th and March 1st at the Florence Events Center.  The largest annual indoor event in Florence will offer displays by vendors to help you Build or remodel your home, add colorful Blooms, or otherwise Beautify it. More than 40 exhibits will be offering information, goods, or services to help you keep your current home looking good for years to come.

This year’s theme, Build, Bloom and Beautify will be exemplified by the centerpiece design by Laurel Bay Gardens for the 27th time.  The show is presented by locally owned Coast Radio, KCST (106.9 FM) and KCFM (AM1250; 104.1 FM in Florence and 103.1 FM in Mapleton), along with the Siuslaw News.  It is sponsored by Oregon Pacific Bank, the Florence Area Chamber of Commerce, Three Rivers Casino Resort, and B.R. Hornung Certified Public Accountant. In addition to products and services for your home, visitors can take advantage of numerous free samples and enter to win drawings at individual booths, as well as a Grand Prize giveaway Saturday afternoon.  Florence Garden Club volunteers, as they have since the show’s inception, will be

staffing the entrance.

Coast Radio General Manager and show coordinator, Jon Thompson, says many of the most popular vendors from previous years are back, along with many new exhibitors bringing some “exciting new products and services”. Putting the show together each year takes a lot of thought and effort, he said and they also “prioritize showcasing local businesses while bringing in products and services not readily available in the community.”

Some of those new booths include 365 Patio Furniture, a purveyor of “eco-friendly and extremely durable” outdoor furniture; Bucket List Travel, with a specialty in helping you book cruises; and Powers Bath and Remodel, a company that can update your home while making it easier for you to “age in place”.  “These are just a few of the strong additions to this year’s show”, according to Thompson.

Local businesses will be on hand offering, among other things, internet service, landscaping products, home furnishing, pavement maintenance, flooring, cabinets and countertops, tile, and painting.  Other specialty products on display will include infrared heaters, floor mats, cookware, scented burners, financial services, and even gourmet food.

The two-day show at the Florence Events Center is Friday, February 28th from noon until 6 PM, then Saturday, March 1st from 10 AM until 6 PM.  Admission at the door is just $2 for adults and $1 for ages 13 to 17.  Kids 12 and under are free.

Another popular feature from previous years will be back again.  The final two hours of the show on Saturday, between 4 and 6 PM, are free to everyone.
