‘Come Home to Amidon’ Join us in celebrating our centennial at the Slope County Fair August 24th and 25th
The celebration along with the Slope county fair, which is August 24 & 25. Extra activities at the fair include a bungee run, a bouncer for the smaller children, a climbing wall, dual slides, sno-cones at 4-H booth and birthday cake served on Sunday after supper and lots of good old-fashioned fun and visiting.
We’re hoping for many former residents to return for “Come Home to Amidon” Visit Mayor Jerry Erickson’s shop SE of the Lutheran Church. Open from 1-5 PM each day. Amidon memorabilia, antique tools, drawing for special Amidon afghan, which is on display at the shop.
EVENTS Special Centennial Show: The Evolution of Amidon
Saturday at 7 pm and Sunday at 6:30 pm
Special old-time hymn sing at 10 am church service on Sunday. Brenda Davis, Lane and Ann Dingfelder, and Carolyn Erickson. Sermon in song only. Brenda’s new CD ‘In My World’ will be for sale at the fair.
