If you’re planning to visit the Outer Hebrides, you’ll probably be catching the ferry from Ullapool, a pleasant port village on the A835 beside enchanting Loch Broom. There are beautiful walks around this area, including The Braes walking trail from its Ullapool Harbour to the outcrop of Meall Mor and back, with spectacular views of the loch. Now it is perhaps even better known for its premium place on Scotland’s North Coast 500 road touring route.
