Beaches COVERED. columnist Jill Healy-Quintard from Body and Balance is a strong believer in ageing positively. Join us as we delve into Jill’s insightful outlook, discovering how to cultivate empowerment and find fulfilment in every stage of life.

Age is a journey. I fully embrace with passion and positivity. As a wellness coach and advocate of positive aging, my philosophy of PROAGE promotes complete MindBody Balance and rejects the notion that aging is negative. Age is energy, and I am dedicated to helping people of all ages stay fit, well, and motivated through Human Movement and Music.

For over 35 years, I have proudly led Body and Balance Fitness and Wellness on the Northern Beaches, sustaining the image of fit, happy individuals. Winning a few awards along the way helped to reinforce my belief in the power of MindBody Movement.

I have been at the forefront of the Fitness and Wellness industry, competing in aerobic championships and presenting my innovative methods at conferences and festivals. This has earned me the title of a ‘Thought Leader”, and I am honoured to be an educator at the Wise Women's Gathering.

What makes positive aging truly remarkable is the wisdom gained,

emotional stability, stronger relationships, increased self-awareness, and more leisure time. Retirement and middle age can often lead to depression, but this stage of life is a precious gift, full of wonders waiting to be explored.

Recently, my husband and I embarked on an incredible journey across Australia, embracing the ‘Van Lifestyle’. We met people of all ages who shared our passion for exploration, forming friendships through shared stories and adventures. The "grey nomads" exemplify the ageless spirit, venturing from coast to outback, united by a love for adventure.

While on the road, I stayed connected with my Northern Beaches clients, conducting my renowned classes via Zoom. This connection kept my energy and passion alive.

I am thrilled to be back teaching again from my Manly Vale Studio, offering exclusive small group classes and personalised consultations. Through my 10 Principles of MindBody Fitness and Wellness, I aim to bring out the best in individuals.

As a published author, I share my perspective on "Having it all at 50 Plus." To me, it means living and loving deeply, embracing life's beauty, sadness, and joy, while remaining positive and proactive in body and mind. I am empowered by this mindset and wish to inspire others, regardless of their age.
