Planning Your day With The Perfect Planer
Organizing your day with a planner can be an effective way to manage your time, stay focused, and be more productive. Here are some tips on how to best use a planner to organize your day:
1. Set your prioritieS: Start by listing the tasks you need to complete for the day, and prioritize them based on their importance and urgency. This will help you focus on the most critical tasks and avoid getting sidetracked by less important ones.
2. Block out your time: Once you have your task list, block out specific times in your planner for each task. Be realistic about how long each task will take, and don’t forget to include breaks and time for unexpected interruptions.
3. uSe color coding: Consider using different colors or symbols to represent different types of tasks or activities. For example, you could use one color for work-related tasks, another for personal errands, and
a third for exercise or self-care activities.
4. review and adjuSt your plan: At the end of each day, review your planner and evaluate how well you were able to stick to your plan. Make adjustments as needed for the following day, and be flexible in case unexpected events arise.
5. Be conSiStent: To get the most out of your planner, use it consistently every day. Make it a habit to review and update your planner regularly to stay on track and make progress toward your goals.
Remember that a planner is a tool to help you manage your time and stay organized, but it’s up to you to use it effectively. By following these tips and developing a routine that works for you, you can make the most of your planner and achieve your daily goals with greater ease and efficiency.

10 steps to HeLp WItH your barn and tack faLL cLeanIng
Fall is the perfect time to tackle cleaning tasks on your ranch. Here are 10 steps to help you get your fall cleaning done efficiently and effectively.
1. Start by decluttering. Remove any unnecessary items from your barns, sheds, and storage areas. Donate or sell items that you no longer need.
2. Clean out your livestock areas. Remove any manure, bedding, or debris from stalls, pens, and pastures. This will help prevent the spread of disease and improve overall hygiene.
3. Inspect and repair fences. Check for any damaged or loose fence posts, boards, or wires. Repair or replace as needed to ensure the safety and containment of your animals.
4. Clean and organize your tack room. Wipe down saddles, bridles, and other equipment. Sort and organize your tack, making it easily accessible for the upcoming season.
5. Service and maintain your equipment. Inspect and clean your tractors, mowers, and other machinery. Change oil, filters, and spark plugs as necessary. This will help prevent breakdowns and extend the lifespan of your equipment.
6. Clean and maintain your water sources. Drain and clean troughs, buckets, and water tanks. Check for leaks or damage and repair as needed. Ensure your animals have access to clean and fresh water.
7. Clear out gutters and downspouts. Remove any leaves, debris, or obstructions to prevent water damage to your buildings and property.
8. Prune trees and shrubs. Trim back any overgrown branches that may pose a risk to your buildings or animals. This will also allow more sunlight to reach your pastures and paddocks.
9. Clean and inspect your barns and outbuildings. Sweep out cobwebs, dust, and dirt. Check for any signs of damage or wear and make necessary repairs.
10. Finally, don’t forget to clean and organize your own living spaces. Take the time to deep clean your house, including windows, floors, and carpets. Declutter and organize your closets and storage areas.
By following these 10 steps, you can ensure that your ranch is clean, organized, and ready for the fall season.

T HIS SEASO n, THE TOP COWBOYS A nd COWg IRLS g O HEA d-TO - HEA d
Watch Season 4 of the Ultimate Cowboy premiering Wednesday, September 6th at 8PM ET exclusively on INSP
Top cowboys from across the United States compete to win a herd of cattle, a coveted belt buckle, and a lifetime of bragging rights. This season they go head-to-head in the unforgiving landscape and unpredictable weather of douglas, Wyoming. The fourteen male and female contestants include ranch owners, ranch managers, viral video cowboys, horse trainers, and rodeo stars. As they lock horns in a series of grueling challenges, they are judged on their skills, knowledge, grit, and heart. One-by-one, the cowboys who don’t perform are eliminated by country music icon Trace Adkins and a panel of expert judges. In the end, only one cowboy rides away with the herd.
Meet The Cowgirls...
BRIAnnA MARkUM-MCCLAIn
AQUILLA, TX
A 4th generation cowboy, Brianna was born and raised in new Mexico and operates her own rodeo company on top of a full-time management job at a major convention center. A skilled roper, Brianna qualified for the 2020 World Champion Rodeo Alliance and won the Original Team Roping heading finals. Eliminated due to her performance fixing a fence during a team challenge resulting in a broken finger; Brianna doesn’t feel like she had a real opportunity to show her skills and is looking forward to showcasing why she deserves to be the Ultimate Cowboy.
J STORME BIRdWELL
HAMSHIRE, TX
After returning home from “Ultimate Cowboy Showdown,” J Storme reconnected with her now husband Jacob and the two got married in 2021. In July of 2022, the couple had their first baby, a little girl they named Jennings. Even with an infant daughter, J Storme continues to compete in local ropings and works full time for the family ranch. J Storme says being a new mother has changed her priorities. Her focus is on saving the family ranch after the passing of her great uncle to be able to raise her daughter with the same lifestyle she had.
SARAH
FOTI
CRYSTAL RIVER, FL
Still focusing on her beekeeping business and working for ranches down the coast of Florida, Sarah continues to be the sharp-tongued Italian cowboy she was last year. Having been through it once before, Sarah is confident she can approach the competition in a more strategic manner, hoping her strong willed personality doesn’t get in the way of her focus. With the prices of feed going up and resources being scarcely available after multiple devastating hurricanes hit the state, Sarah hopes winning this prize would be the change she needs to focus on her cattle operation full time.

Tuff Shed Turned Tack Room Barn
T HIS PERFECTLY ORgA n I z E d, SMALL- SCALE TAC k ROOM IS M A d E FROM A T UFF SHE d
By: Stablestyle.com Photos By: Jennifer EvansJennifer Evans came up with a great idea of turning a normal Tuff Shed into a usable, attractive barn and tack room. The space is decorative, but still holds all the essentials for horse care. The tack shed is 10’ x 12’ with a custom pitch metal roof. A second 10’ x 6’ shed is situated under the larger shed, utilized for hay and feed.
Jennifer embraced the equestrian lifestyle despite not having a background in riding. Her love for animals, coupled with childhood memories of camp horse rides, fueled her interest in horse ownership. When she acquired a home in Orange County, the additional vacant lot below it became the perfect location for her to establish a small-scale horse setup. With access to trails leading into Peters Canyon regional park and a community where horses were common, Jennifer saw the potential for her new venture.
To ensure she was well-prepared for horse ownership, Jennifer began by taking riding lessons. Her dedication to learning led her to purchase her first horse, a Palomino Quarter Horse named Jack II. It was during a tack sale that she crossed paths with Sandy Forkert, a respected equestrian figure in nearby Orange Park Acres. Sandy quickly assumed the roles of mentor, friend, and trainer in Jennifer’s journey with Jack II.
The relationship between Jennifer and Sandy grew as they collaborated for about six months. Sandy’s guidance was invaluable during the planning and construction of Jennifer’s horse facilities. With Sandy’s full arena available, they worked together on fundamental training, horsemanship, and the essential aspects of horse care. Sandy’s expertise provided Jennifer and Jack II with a solid foundation, setting them up for success as they embarked on their equestrian adventure together. Check out her beautiful equestrian set up on the following pages...
