ITINERARY IN DETAIL Day01
Arrive New Jalpaiguri / Bagdogra - Phuentsholing (165 km / approx. 4 hours drive) Welcome to your 'Bhutan - Dragon Kingdom' tour! On arrival at the railway station in New Jalpaiguri / airport in Bagdogra, you will be met and transferred to your hotel in Phuentsholing. The rest of the day is at leisure for independent activities.
Day02
Phuentsholing - Thimphu ( 170 km / approx 6 hours drive) Transfer from hotel in Phuentsholing to hotel in Thimphu, enroute visit Kharbandi Gompa. (Private). After breakfast, proceed to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan. Enroute visit Kharbandi Gompa to get a breathtaking view of Phuentsholing also the Indian plains. On arrival, check in to the hotel in Thimphu. Thimphu is a unique city with unusual mixture of modern development alongside ancient traditions. Pickup

Thimphu Explore Thimphu on a city tour (Private). Today, after breakfast, proceed for a full day sightseeing tour of Thimphu visiting places: National Memorial Chorten:This is continuously circumambulated by the faithful, murmuring mantras and spinning their prayer wheels. Buddha Point:One of the biggest Buddha in the world. It was constructed through donations from devotees all around the world. Motithang Mini Zoo :A preserve center of the Takin - The national animal of Bhutan National Library :Storage of all kind of ancient books of Buddhist culture. Folk Heritage Museum:It is one of the oldest traditional houses. This house has been around 150 years old. The Folk Heritage Museum with a three storied, 19thcentury traditional house provides you a glimpse of the Bhutanese lifestyle, and artifacts from the rural households. Tashichodzong: The beautiful medieval fortress/monastery which houses most of the government's office and King's Throne room. Pickup

Thimphu - Punakha ( 90 km / approx. 3 hour drive) Transfer from hotel in Thimphu to hotel in Punakha, en route visit Dochu La Pass and Chimi Lhakhang (Private). After breakfast, drive to valleys of Punakha, en route visit the Dochu La Pass - a mountain pass in the snow covered Himalayas. The Pass on a clear day offers a magnificent view of the snowcapped mountains of the Himalayas. After that we will visit to Chimi Lhakhang which is a short hike. Chimi Lakhang Temples lies in the fertile Lobesa village of Punakha Valley. The temple is dedicated to the divine madman-Saint Drukpa Kuenley and the temple is also known as the Temple of Fertility.
